Chapter 38 – I and your dad, don’t cause trouble and don’t fear trouble

Si Hua was overjoyed. The school Si Hua attended was a combined junior and senior high school. Mr. He was originally a teacher in the senior high school department, but because the math teacher in Si Hua’s class had some family issues and took a year off, Mr. He, who had limited experience at the time, taught the senior high school department while also filling in for the math teacher in Si Hua’s class.

Later, the original math teacher in Si Hua’s class returned, but Si Hua’s class had already become accustomed to Mr. He’s teaching style. Moreover, under Mr. He’s guidance, the math scores in Si Hua’s class had reached the top ranking in the city for junior high school math. So, Mr. He continued to teach them part-time for that year.

Si Hua used to be someone who couldn’t even pass math, but during the high school entrance exam, she scored 95 in math.

Si Hua was very grateful to Mr. He, but unfortunately, she didn’t have the chance to come back after going abroad.

Unexpectedly, He Ju turned out to be Mr. He’s son.

Si Hua was even more excited. It was no wonder that He Ju was so attractive to her. Could the child brought up by her mentor be inferior?

Si Hua presented the flowers to Master’s wife, Tian Zhen, and then sat by He Yu’s bed, reminiscing with him.

Looking at the things He Ju and Si Hua brought and the bandage on He Ju’s nose, Tian Zhen couldn’t help but think of something. She said to He Ju, “Come with me.”

He Ju followed his mother out.

Standing by the window in the corridor, Tian Zhen asked He Ju, “What’s going on between you and Ran Ran?”

He Ju was silent for two seconds, then said, “Mom, I won’t have anything to do with Su Ran in the future.”

Tian Zhen didn’t express any doubts about this. She knew her son’s personality. If it wasn’t a step that couldn’t be reversed, He Ju would never have said such a thing.

Tian Zhen didn’t want to interfere too much in He Ju’s love life. She respected all of He Ju’s choices.

If it weren’t for the valuable things Si Hua brought today and He Ju’s injury, she wouldn’t have asked too much.

Tian Zhen sighed softly, “How did you get injured? Can you tell Mom?”

He Ju briefly explained, and Tian Zhen understood.

“Son, Su Ran has been watched over by your father and me since we were young. She comes from a superior family, has excellent grades, and is beautiful. It’s normal for you to like her. You also have the right to pursue her. But don’t young people have a saying like this…”

He Ju looked up at his mother. This was the first time Tian Zhen had talked to him about him and Su Ran.

Tian Zhen smiled and continued, “After doing your best, just let it be. A person’s hands can only hold so much. You have to learn to reconcile with yourself.”

He Ju felt a moment of sadness and envy, and choked out, “Thank you, Mom.”

Tian Zhen went forward and hugged He Ju, patting his back. Her voice was calm, but it could soothe He Ju’s ten years of pain better than anyone else, “Son, it’s not embarrassing to passionately love a girl during your youth. If you and Su Ran didn’t end up together, it only means that you’re not suitable for each other, and it doesn’t mean anything else…”

Tian Zhen: “Youth is a series of missed opportunities and encounters.”

Tian Zhen suddenly thought of Si Hua in the ward, so she let go of He Ju and said with a smile, “But when you decide to start a new relationship, you have to make room in your heart, clear your heart, and then love the next girl. This is being responsible to your future girlfriend. Do you understand?”

He Ju couldn’t help but smile. He knew what Tian Zhen was talking about. “Thank you, Mom, I understand.”

Tian Zhen nodded, “As for that classmate Qiu threatening you, you don’t have to worry too much. Although our He family is not a big family, your father and I don’t cause trouble, but we’re not afraid of trouble. If it really comes to it, Mom and Dad will handle it with you.”

He Ju was truly grateful to have such open-minded parents. They gave him the courage to face the storms of life. “Thank you, Mom, I know what to do.”

Tian Zhen smiled, “Alright, let’s go. Go see the girl you brought.”

For some reason, He Ju blushed inexplicably when Si Hua was mentioned. He nodded gently and followed Tian Zhen into the ward.

As soon as he entered the ward, He Ju heard Si Hua’s cheerful laughter, “Is your name Yuxin? Why do you look as cute as a flour dumpling?”

He Yuxin looked at He Yu in confusion, “Dad, is a flour dumpling cute?”

He Yu was having breakfast at the moment. Seeing his little daughter’s puzzled look, he couldn’t help but laugh heartily, “Cute, just as cute as our Yuxin.”

He Yuxin looked at Si Hua and said seriously, “Then Sister is as beautiful as the swan that teacher talked about.”

This was truly an innocent remark, and both He Yu and Si Hua couldn’t help but laugh.

Si Hua felt an irresistible fondness for He Yuxin and quickly hugged her, giving her several kisses. “Yuxin is so good~”

He Yuxin was a sociable child and quickly hugged Si Hua and kissed her cheek, then added, “Sister Si Hua smells so good, Yuxin likes Sister Si Hua.”

Tian Zhen couldn’t help but laugh first, “Yuxin, you’re really a little clever ghost.”

When He Yuxin saw Tian Zhen and He Ju, she became even happier. In the past, He Yuxin would definitely have run over to hug her brother and act coquettishly, but today she was reluctant to leave Sister Si Hua and happily waved her chubby little hand at He Ju and Tian Zhen, “Mom, brother!”Si Hua stood up, holding He Yuxin in her arms: “Auntie, hello.”

Tian Zhen slapped He Ju’s shoulder: “Go and take Yu Xin from her. Look at how slender Little Si Wu is; she can’t possibly bear your sister’s weight.”

He Ju responded and hurried towards Si Hua.

But who knew He Yuxin would turn around, cling to Si Hua’s neck, and speak in a babyish voice: “I don’t want to. Sister Si Hua likes Yu Xin a lot too.”

He Ju was instantly helpless and pretended to be stern: “Yu Xin, come down and let brother hold you.”

He Yuxin looked at Si Hua with tearful eyes: “Sister, are you going to hand Yu Xin over to brother?”

How could Si Hua bear to do that? He Yuxin was just too, too cute. She quickly smiled at He Ju and said: “Let me hold her for a bit longer. When I can’t anymore, I’ll hand her over to you.”

Only then did He Ju helplessly pinch He Yuxin’s little nose: “I’ve never seen you so clingy before.”

He Yuxin playfully stuck out her tongue.

Si Hua moved closer to He Ju and whispered: “Auntie probably hasn’t had breakfast yet. There’s porridge in the food box, all quite light. Go serve a bowl.”

He Ju: “Okay.”

Si Hua then sat back down, picked up a small bowl beside her, and smiled with her eyes curving: “Come, Little Yu Xin, would you like sister to feed you some porridge?”

He Yuxin was exceptionally well-behaved today: “Yes! Thank you, sister~”

Tian Zhen watched the interaction between Si Hua and He Yuxin, nodding in satisfaction. She could see that Si Hua was someone who liked children and was also very measured in her actions. She genuinely liked this girl, Si Hua.

Tian Zhen then glanced at He Ju, wondering if this silly boy would have such good fortune.
