Chapter 15

Zhao Kongcheng felt like he was about to explode with anger.

“Me! You still ask who I am? I am the innocent victim whose feelings were deceived by you last night, left to suffer in the cold wind for half the night!”

Zhao Kongcheng tightly held Lin Qiye’s hand, like a pure and innocent uncle afraid of his boyfriend being taken away by someone else. “Let me tell you, don’t pretend in front of me. You absolutely can’t escape today!”

Lin Qiye looked at his locked arm and gave up struggling, appearing as if he could be manipulated at will.

“Fine, where do you want to talk?”

“Come with me.”

Zhao Kongcheng held Lin Qiye’s hand and walked in big strides towards an unknown direction…

When Lin Qiye saw that he was gradually approaching a couple’s hotel, his face suddenly changed and he turned his head, wanting to escape the scene!

However, Zhao Kongcheng didn’t give him the chance at all. He forcefully dragged him and headed towards the hotel.

“What…what do you want to do? Let me tell you, I have hemorrhoids, don’t mess around…!”

“…What’s wrong with you high school boys? We’re just going to a place to chat.”

“Do we need to go to a couple’s hotel to chat? Haven’t you seen the looks from those people along the way? I’m so embarrassed!”

“You don’t understand. This is a safe house. I brought you here with no other intentions. Besides, do I look like…like that kind of person?!”

Zhao Kongcheng rolled his eyes and dragged the struggling Lin Qiye to the front desk. He threw an extremely greasy flirtatious look at the stunned female staff.

“One dynamic and passionate themed king-size bed room, thank you.”

Lin Qiye:…

The female staff stood still, and after a momentary pause in her brain, she inexplicably became excited!

“Alright, sir, we need your identification, and this…this young comrade, please show your identification as well.”

Lin Qiye, who was forced to hand over his identification, looked strangely at the overly excited female staff, not knowing what kind of BL plot she was imagining…

But this couldn’t be blamed on her. In the middle of the night, a middle-aged man forcefully dragging a teenager to a couple’s hotel to book a king-size bed room, claiming to just chat…who would believe that?!

“This is your room card. The room is 3966. I wish you both a pleasant stay!” The female staff smiled at the flustered Lin Qiye, her eyes almost narrowed into slits.

Lin Qiye clenched his fist.

“Why are you just standing there? Come up with me.” Zhao Kongcheng pulled Lin Qiye and walked towards the elevator.

After swiping the card to enter the room and seeing the various wonderful facilities, the innocent Lin Qiye finally realized that this was how rich people played…

Indeed, it was quite passionate!

Zhao Kongcheng locked the door and finally let go of Lin Qiye. He sat down by the electric bed and finally relaxed his stiff body.

“Don’t be so nervous, we really are just going to chat.” Zhao Kongcheng laughed and scolded Lin Qiye when he saw his expression as if facing a great enemy.

Lin Qiye sighed and sat on the sofa near the door. “What do you want to talk to me about?”

“Of course, it’s about you.”

“Lin Qiye, male, 17 years old, single, height 175, weight…”

“You know that’s not what I’m talking about.” Zhao Kongcheng rubbed his forehead and pointed at Lin Qiye’s eyes with his other hand. “I’m talking about your eyes.”

Lin Qiye fell into silence.

“Have you seen Michael?”

Upon hearing this, Lin Qiye’s body trembled slightly. After hesitating for a while, he nodded gently.

Sure enough, this man in front of him knew a lot of things, and the force behind him…was definitely not simple!

And this sentence also revealed an important piece of information to Lin Qiye. The Archangel he saw ten years ago turned out to be the famous Angel King, Michael.

Seeing Lin Qiye nod, Zhao Kongcheng finally relaxed and looked at Lin Qiye with increasingly fiery eyes.

“Why did It find you? What did It say to you? How far can you use the Forbidden Ruin now?”

Zhao Kongcheng’s questions came like a barrage of bullets. Lin Qiye furrowed his brows and shook his head.

“You have too many questions.”

Zhao Kongcheng also realized that he was being a bit out of line and laughed awkwardly. “Right, you must have a lot of doubts in your heart now. Let me answer them for you. Ask me anything you want to know.”

Lin Qiye pondered for a moment, staring into Zhao Kongcheng’s eyes, and asked the first question, “Are the deities from the myths really exist in this world?”

“They exist.” Zhao Kongcheng didn’t hesitate and nodded directly. “But not all gods exist.”

“What do you mean?”

Zhao Kongcheng fell into deep thought, as if considering where to start. “What do you think myths are?”

Lin Qiye thought for a moment. “Are they the spiritual sustenance of ancient people? Are they the fear and fantasy of unknown forces of nature?”

“You’re right.” Zhao Kongcheng nodded. “Until a hundred years ago, everyone thought the same way.”

“A hundred years ago?”

“That’s right. Before that mist appeared, there had never been any trace of gods in this world.” Zhao Kongcheng’s eyes narrowed slightly. “However, since that mist covered the earth, everything…seems to have changed.”In September 1922, a year after the appearance of the mist, a mist detection team dispatched by The Great Xia observed a colossal dragon slowly flying in the sky over the Mariana Trench. It was the first time in human history that a mythical creature had been observed.

After research and verification, the dragon was identified as the Chaos Dragon, Leviathan, from the Bible, a creature said to be created by God. The discovery of this dragon completely overturned the understanding of The Great Xia’s high-ranking officials. They realized that the world had changed drastically since the onset of the mist.

At the time when the mist first appeared, The Great Xia was plunged into panic. The high-ranking officials, in order to maintain national stability, concealed the results of this detection.

As the first mythical creature observed by humans, the Chaos Dragon Leviathan was coded as 001 by the high-ranking officials of The Great Xia. During subsequent explorations, more mythical creatures were discovered and were numbered accordingly.

“The Seraph Michael you saw was the third mythical creature observed by humans in 1928, coded as 003.”

“1928?” Lin Qiye was taken aback, “We hadn’t mastered moon landing technology at that time, had we? How did they find the Seraph on the moon?”

“It wasn’t us who found It.” Zhao Kongcheng shook his head, “In March 1928, a golden Sword Aura was emitted from the moon, piercing through the universe and leveling a large volcano in North America. It was then that we realized there was a Deity on the moon.”

“North America? What’s there?”

“Later, it took our detection team a year to reach that volcano. Among the ruins, they discovered the Deity coded as 004 sealed within the Divine Ruin…”

Zhao Kongcheng paused, then continued, “The Fallen Angel, Lucifer.”
