Chapter 4 – I feel like she’s flirting with me, but I have no evidence

Si Hua glanced at He Ju: "Do you want to go for a drink?"

He Ju came to his senses and smiled at her: "No need, it's not important. You're tired from rushing to catch your flight. You should go home first."

Si Hua changed the subject: "I'm hungry too. Let's go eat together."

As Bai Yan's sister, He Ju didn't refuse.

So, the car turned and quickly drove into the largest mall here.

He Ju acted as a bag-carrying assistant. While on the escalator, he felt a hand hooking his arm. He glanced to see Si Hua looking calm, smiling openly. "Do you mind?"

He Ju was silent for two seconds. "I don't mind."

Si Hua played with her long hair, revealing her swan-like neck and porcelain skin, captivating He Ju with her red and seductive lips.

Si Hua: "When I go out with Bai Yan, I always do this. Can you temporarily replace him as his friend?"

How could He Ju say no? He had no reason to refuse.

He could only politely nod and then look away.

This is Bai Yan's sister. He couldn't have any other thoughts.

Little did he know, Si Hua was watching his changing expressions the whole time, and finally withdrew her gaze with a hint of regret.

Si Hua even thought to herself: Is He Ju a monk? How can he not be even a little moved?

But then she remembered that He Ju had just been dumped by the girl he liked. This matter couldn't be rushed.

But it was precisely because of this that it gave her the opportunity to get close to He Ju, right?

Si Hua thought, her lips slightly upturned, and then silently stood closer.

He Ju, Si Hua has liked you for many years, and now she finally has the chance to get close to you.

Afterward, the two of them arrived at Hai Di Lao Hot Pot.

The staff immediately greeted them: "Sir, madam, welcome to Hai Di Lao. Today, there's a special promotion. All couples dining here will receive an 20% discount on the entire menu."

He Ju instinctively wanted to refuse: "I'm sorry, we…"

But Si Hua pinched his arm hard and then interrupted him with a smile: "Then we're lucky today."

The staff warmly led them to their seats and even thoughtfully brought a box of heart-shaped cakes with "sweet and happy" written on them.

He Ju felt a bit embarrassed, while Si Hua was very open: "Since there's a discount, why not take advantage of it? He Ju, you're about to enter society, so you need to learn to live."

He Ju's embarrassment quickly dissipated, and he replied, "Okay, sister."

Si Hua smiled, and the staff thoughtfully handed a hairpin to Si Hua, who was using chopsticks to pick up the beef tripe.

Si Hua, with her autumn eyes full of smiles, said to He Ju, "Sorry, please style my hair for me, my boyfriend."

The staff suddenly realized and quickly handed the hairpin to He Ju, saying, "You two are a perfect match, very compatible."

He Ju didn't want to embarrass Si Hua, so he blushed and took the hairpin.

Si Hua blinked at him. "Please help me style it."

He Ju didn't have time to refuse, and Si Hua slightly turned away, her back to him. He Ju's palms were sweating, even if it were Su Ran, he had never styled her hair.

He Ju: "This is my first time, I'm a bit clumsy. If I do it wrong, please bear with me, sister."

Si Hua: "I will bear with you."

So, He Ju could only grit his teeth and do it, not looking at anything else, gently styling Si Hua's hair and securing it at the back of her head.

While styling her hair, He Ju's hand unavoidably touched Si Hua's porcelain skin, giving him a slightly cold feeling, making his face even redder.

After finally returning to his seat, Si Hua teased him with a smile, "You'll get the hang of it after doing it a few more times."

He Ju: "…" I feel like she's teasing me, but I have no evidence.

The two of them harmoniously finished the hotpot. He Ju wanted to pay, but Si Hua had already paid in advance. After the discount, it was a total of 587 yuan. He Ju felt very embarrassed. How could he let a girl pay when going out to eat?

But Si Hua told him, "Since you feel embarrassed, then how about you treat me to dinner tomorrow?"

He Ju agreed without hesitation. After agreeing, He Ju faintly felt that something was off.

But Si Hua didn't give He Ju time to think, she just took his wrist and left.

This time, He Ju was driving, and Si Hua said she was tired and wanted to rest.

He Ju was glad that he had gotten his driver's license in order to pursue Su Ran.

The red Ferrari drove on the highway, with Si Hua sitting in the passenger seat, letting the evening breeze blow her hair as she said softly, "Bai Yan said you want to move?"

He Ju thought to himself: Damn Bai Yan, he really can't keep his mouth shut! Why does he blab about everything?

He thought this, but He Ju answered, "Yes, I want to move to a new environment and live well."Si Hua: "A friend of mine happens to have a vacant studio apartment for rent, right near the Starshine Company, just five subway stops from your school. Do you want to check it out?"

He Ju felt a bit awkward: "This… wouldn't it be inappropriate?"

Si Hua chuckled softly: "What's there to be embarrassed about? You're Bai Yan's good friend, and I consider you a younger brother. That's why I'm offering you this opportunity, so you don't have to look elsewhere, right? Besides, my friend isn't offering it for free. It has to be rented out to someone, so why not someone we know? My friend would feel more at ease, wouldn't they?"

And just like that, He Ju was persuaded by Si Hua, and he said: "Then I'll have to trouble Sister Si Hua."

Si Hua hummed softly in response: "In that case, let's not go out for dinner tomorrow night. I'll give you the address, and you can move in tomorrow morning. We'll cook dinner at the apartment in the evening. Bai Yan and I will come over to celebrate your housewarming."

The change of plans was so sudden that He Ju was momentarily taken aback: "Huh?"

Si Hua's lips curved into a smile: "What's the matter? Is there a problem?"

He Ju couldn't help but stutter: "No… no problem."

Si Hua: "Little Yan has already told me about your excellent cooking skills. It seems I'm in for a treat tomorrow night."

He Ju: "…" How did things get settled so quickly?

He Ju wanted to say more, but Si Hua cut in: "Here we are, just pull over to the side."

With that distraction, He Ju forgot what he wanted to ask and quickly pulled over to the side of the road.

Si Hua got out of the car, and He Ju followed suit.

Si Hua: "I'll have the driver take you back. You can stay in the car."

He Ju shook his head: "There's no need to be so polite, Sister Si Hua. I'll just take a taxi back."

Si Hua didn't insist, but she walked up to He Ju, took out her WeChat, and smiled like a sly fox: "Alright then, add me on WeChat. I'll send you the address of the apartment."

And so, He Ju added her.

From then on, they had a way to keep in touch.

Si Hua subtly reined in her smile, then waved at him: "See you tomorrow, little brother He Ju."

He Ju waved back to say goodbye, and at that moment, the driver came out and drove the car into the underground garage.
