Chapter 104 – Let me see what he is

“The beast is in the cage.”

On the big screen, Luthor playfully stroked his chin as he watched the surveillance in another room.

A young man in a blue t-shirt was unconscious, secured with heavy shackles prepared in advance, locked to a specially made electric chair.

The shackles were more like a solid giant steel ball, with only the young man’s forearms, lower legs, and head exposed.

On each side of his head, there were two huge sonic weapons aimed at his ears, all prepared in case of any sudden situation if he woke up.

Even so, outside the steel-reinforced room, a group of heavily armed soldiers nervously held their breath, as if there was a terrifying monster in the room.

“You didn’t tell me that your plan was to knock him out with a high-speed train full of passengers!”

The middle-aged general with silver hair, as sharp as a steel needle, and a military demeanor, stared at the screen with an unfriendly tone.

Whether it was this unique creature or the passengers on the train, it was not something he wanted to see.

“No no no, he wasn’t knocked out.”

Luthor emphasized with a finger.

“He was knocked unconscious.”

“What’s the difference?” Sam Lane glared at him.

“General, you wanted Superman, and I gave you Superman.”

Luthor didn’t want to explain much to General Lane, who had outstanding military achievements and an old-fashioned style, only knowing how to train soldiers and fight.

“Just don’t forget what you promised me at the beginning.”

“To share all the research materials about this… Superman creature?”

General Sam Lane frowned, recalling the outside world’s name for this powerful creature.

“Speaking of which, this name was given to this creature by your daughter. He seems to not object to this name.”

Luthor chuckled.

“Superman?… Whether he’s human is still to be verified.”

“I’ve never heard of any human who can inhale enough super strong anesthetic gas to knock down thousands of Asian elephants and only have a slightly slowed heartbeat.”

Sam Lane glanced at the heartbeat detected on the screen and snorted.

If it were a human, even inhaling so much oxygen would have caused oxygen poisoning.

“First, take a blood sample from him and let me see what he really is.”

“A blood sample?”

Luthor looked surprised.

“The strength of his skin is probably even stronger than a titanium alloy drill bit. General, what are you going to use to draw blood?”

Sam Lane glanced at him, not saying a word, but seemed confident.

“Is it Clark, has he been taken away?”

Upon hearing the voice, Martha ran to the living room, her face slightly pale as she covered her mouth, unable to believe the news on the TV.

“Is Superman really Clark, and has he been taken away?”

Jonathan stared wide-eyed, sitting on the sofa in shock, unable to accept the news.

“Mom, Dad, do you know about this?”

David asked with a dark face, staring at the TV.

Clark told him that he hadn’t told his parents that he was Superman, not wanting to worry them, asking him to keep this a secret.

But when Superman had an accident, the two immediately became anxious and nervous, not like they had just found out about it because of him.

“Your brother wanted to keep it from us. But how could we not see that he was hiding a secret from us.”

Especially Martha, covering her mouth, her eyes red with a hint of tears.

In Metropolis, there appeared a super vigilante who could effortlessly lift a truck and move faster than a bullet, and the news on TV and in the newspapers had already caused a sensation.

At first, the couple thought it was a metahuman with powers from a meteorite, having talked at the dinner table about so many people who had gained superpowers from meteorites, finally one who used it for good.

The couple didn’t think much of it, after all, the Superman in the news was a healthy person, how could it be Clark, who was blind.

But later, the couple found that every time they talked about Superman, Clark either wanted to avoid the topic or spoke about Superman with an unnatural expression, and they had some suspicions.

And how could it be so coincidental that another metahuman with powers as strong as Clark, an extraterrestrial, appeared.

“Now is not the time to talk about this, son. You have to go and bring your brother back.”

Coming back to his senses, Jonathan stood up from the sofa in a hurry.

When the situation was urgent, the military might do something to Clark.

“I understand. I will definitely bring Clark back safely.”

After taking a last look at the scene, David frowned, and with a swoosh, he disappeared from the spot, bringing up a gust of wind. Martha couldn’t help but shed anxious tears as she watched her son leave.

Jonathan hugged his wife, and the two nervously watched the TV screen, praying for both their sons to come back safely.

After leaving home, David’s speed continued to accelerate, and in an instant, he arrived at the Metropolis platform, traveling at nearly thirty times the speed of sound, from the small town to the scene of the incident, in less than half a minute.

[Template integration 97% complete]

After the Black Emperor template was integrated on Paradise Island, his ability to manipulate energy also skyrocketed, including the power and speed to consume energy to enhance his physical body.

Next to the platform, soldiers with guns stood behind the cordon, keeping all unrelated personnel away, while military experts were conducting the final sampling work.

“How could this happen?”

Louise Lane hurried to the scene with her reporter assistant Jimmy, looking at the orderly sealed-off scene with a bad feeling.

She was about to turn around and ask her father what was going on.Suddenly, a gust of wind swept through.

At the center of the scene, a tall figure appeared, radiating a purple glow, lifting a soldier by the neck with one hand, his aura icy cold.

“Which base do you come from?!”
