Chapter 100 – Xie Shu’s girlfriend

Ruan Nianxi was being led by Xie Shu towards the back of the classroom, one in front and one behind.

This was a tiered classroom, so he walked slowly, worried that if he moved too quickly, Ruan Nianxi might not keep up and fall.

Their slow pace drew the attention of others, who watched them for a long time.

Ruan Nianxi was well aware of the stares, but she wasn’t embarrassed at all.

She wanted everyone to know about her relationship with Xie Shu, so that those who had any designs on him would back off.

Don’t think she doesn’t go online.

Her roommates had told her that Xie Shu had been mentioned twice on the campus forum after they found out she was dating him.

Curious about everything related to Xie Shu, she had searched the forum and found many people subtly asking for his contact information.

Moreover, having grown up with Xie Shu, she knew very well how popular he was with the opposite sex.

Hmph!

No matter what, Xie Shu was hers now!

No one else should even think about it!

Following Xie Shu, Ruan Nianxi walked with her chin slightly raised, almost as if she had “Xie Shu’s girlfriend” written on her face.

Feeling overly proud, she didn’t notice when Xie Shu stopped at the back and took an extra step, causing her to bump her pretty face into his shoulder.

Startled, Ruan Nianxi finally stopped.

Xie Shu turned around curiously to look at her, only to see her hanging her head, too shy to meet his eyes.

Thinking she had been walking with her head down out of embarrassment, Xie Shu gently reassured her not to worry and then led her to a seat.

There were still plenty of empty seats at the back. Instead of sitting next to Xie Shu’s roommates, Ruan Nianxi chose the second seat in, and Xie Shu naturally took the outermost seat.

This little interaction took only a few seconds, and after they sat down, the people in front of them stopped looking back.

As time passed, more and more people filled the classroom.

Su Qianyi had also arrived early this time.

She wasn’t too early or too late; there were still several rows of seats available in the middle.

The seats towards the back were almost full, so she didn’t go further back.

After finding seats with An Tian, she placed her book on the empty seat next to her.

This was a common tactic among university students—placing a book to save a seat.

“Who are you saving a seat for?” An Tian asked curiously, as no one had asked them to save a seat on their way here.

“Xie… Xie Shu,” Su Qianyi stammered.

An Tian: “???”

“Are you sure he’ll sit here if you save him a seat?”

“I don’t know. I’ll call him if he comes late and can’t find a seat. If he doesn’t want to come, then… forget it.”

Su Qianyi’s voice grew quieter, even though she already guessed the outcome, she couldn’t help but fantasize.

What if?

Ten minutes before class, the classroom was almost full except for the first few rows.

Some latecomers didn’t want to sit at the front, so they looked for empty seats near familiar faces at the back.

Coincidentally, someone found Su Qianyi.

A girl from her class saw the empty seat next to her, with only a book on it. Knowing it might be saved for someone, she still couldn’t help but ask, “Qianyi, is this seat taken?”

Just as Su Qianyi was about to nod, a male voice interrupted from the back of the classroom.

“Xie Shu! How about switching seats with your girlfriend so we can squeeze in?”

A guy called out from the other side of the classroom, his voice loud due to the distance.

There were actually two empty seats next to Ruan Nianxi, right beside Xie Shu’s roommates. Although everyone knew each other, they were too shy to sit together, so they had deliberately left two seats empty.

Some students had noticed these seats but gave up when they saw a couple sitting there being affectionate.

However, some people really wanted to sit at the back to play games later, so they had to ask Xie Shu to switch seats with his girlfriend, making it easier for his roommates to move over.

Xie Shu, who had been whispering to Ruan Nianxi, looked up instinctively when called. After processing the guy’s request, he glanced at the two empty seats next to Ruan Nianxi and nodded.

Although he didn’t mind sitting next to Ruan Nianxi, since others were uncomfortable, he agreed to switch seats.

So, Xie Shu and Ruan Nianxi swapped seats, allowing his roommates to move over and make room for the guy at the edge.

This little episode took only a few seconds, and the people around Xie Shu quickly lost interest. Most of the students at the front didn’t even turn around, as it didn’t concern them.

However, Su Qianyi at the front was stunned.

Even though Xie Shu was at the back, his seat was elevated, so she clearly saw the girl next to him was Ruan…

“Uh… Qianyi, if this seat is taken, then I…”

“No one!” Su Qianyi snapped back to reality, quickly retrieving her book. “I just put it there randomly and forgot about it while looking at my phone.”

An Tian: “…”

An Tian glanced at Su Qianyi but didn’t expose her lie.

Like Su Qianyi, she had instinctively turned around upon hearing Xie Shu’s name and saw him sitting with a girl.

Right, the guy had called her his girlfriend…?

If she remembered correctly, she had seen that girl a few times before. After they returned from off-campus, Xie Shu had been with her outside the gymnasium… they seemed quite close.

She hadn’t seen any intimate interaction between Xie Shu and the girl just now, but sitting together was telling enough.

Moreover, Xie Shu hadn’t denied the term “girlfriend.”

So, they were…?

An Tian glanced at Su Qianyi again, seeing her head bowed deeply, her expression unreadable.
