Vol.3 – Chapter 25 – I am a righteous disciple of Shu Mountain

The next morning was bright and sunny.

Chu Liang got up early to wash and tidy up, then started to clean the mountain peak, trimming any unruly plants he came across.

Today, two friends were coming to visit Silver Sword Peak.

This was arranged after the last discussion in the Soul Summoning Order. Chu Liang had sent letters to Luo Yao and Pǔ Shàn. If there was another major event, their undercover team would gather at Silver Sword Peak on Shu Mountain to discuss.

The Shu Mountain Sect and the Three Extremes Valley were both in the southern region, not too far for cultivators. Yun Que Temple was in the sky. The Three Extremes Valley was in the wilds of the southern region, a bit strange and remote. Compared to these, Shu Mountain was the most suitable place for gatherings.

In order to leave a good first impression on his two companions, Chu Liang tidied up.

By noon, Luo Yao arrived first.

She was still dressed in black today, her white hair glossy and soft, her face delicate, but her eyes were extremely cold. She carried three umbrellas on her back and landed on Silver Sword Peak without saying a word, waiting for Chu Liang to greet her first.

“Miss Luo is here! Long time no see.” Chu Liang waved.

“Hmm.” Luo Yao nodded lightly in response.

Chu Liang didn’t find her rude, after all, it wasn’t their first meeting, and he knew she was a cold-faced girl.

“How have you been?” Chu Liang asked again.

“Fine.” Luo Yao replied.

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Chu Liang led her to the table. He served a plate of golden berries and poured some tea, which was the proper way to treat guests.

It was a bit awkward.

Being in the same room with this woman who didn’t talk much was somewhat pressuring. Chu Liang couldn’t help but hope that Pǔ Shàn would arrive soon. With him around, at least the atmosphere wouldn’t be so cold.

Just as he was thinking this, a Buddhist chant sounded from outside: “Good, good, it’s my first time visiting Shu Mountain, the thirty-six peaks are very impressive!”

Chu Liang hurriedly went out to greet him, seeing a handsome bald head, smiling, dressed in a white monk’s robe.

“Master Pǔ Shàn, we’ve been waiting for you.” Chu Liang also greeted with a smile.

“Ah, Hero Chu, Miss Luo, long time no see, I’ve missed you!” Pǔ Shàn’s smile became even brighter when he saw the two of them, revealing a set of still shiny white teeth despite the sun.

He took out a box from his sleeve: “These are the Buddha fruits, a specialty of our Yun Que Temple. I brought some for you to taste.”

“Haha, you’re too kind. You should have just come, no need to bring anything.” Chu Liang took it and laughed, “You should learn from Miss Luo, it’s good to come empty-handed.”

Luo Yao: “Huh?”

After the pleasantries, the three of them sat down and started discussing serious matters.

“After going back last time, I thought about it. If we want to infiltrate the Ming King Sect, we can’t be without demonic powers. At least we need to have some powers that look similar, so we can use them in battle.” Luo Yao spoke a bit more when it came to serious matters.

“Indeed, I’ve thought about that too.” Pǔ Shàn nodded in agreement, “So I specifically practiced a few forbidden moves from our temple, which can barely disguise.”

Yun Que Temple was also an ancient heritage, naturally, it wouldn’t lack some Yin attribute powers.

“I didn’t prepare for this aspect, although I thought about it…” Chu Liang frowned, “But our Shu Mountain techniques are too righteous, even if we have demonic powers, it’s not easy to practice. So if necessary, I can only rely on some tricks, and the war soul I got before to hold on.”

The attributes of the powers of each immortal sect were different. For example, Luo Yao was from the Three Extremes Valley, she didn’t need to disguise, her moves were dark. Pǔ Shàn’s Buddhist powers were also all-encompassing.

Only the Nine Heavens Mysterious Heart Technique of Shu Mountain was too righteous.

“Alas, we Shu Mountain disciples are full of righteousness.” Chu Liang sighed, “It’s really hard to hide.”

“I have a small power here, you should both be able to practice.” Luo Yao handed over a jade slip.

Chu Liang took it and found it was a small power called “Yin Symbol Technique”, which used some Yin attribute runes to condense Yin Qi to attack the enemy. It did look like a demonic power.

And it could also be used with the Sword Technique of Talisman, which was really suitable for Chu Liang.

“Miss Luo is thoughtful.” Chu Liang and Pǔ Shàn quickly thanked her.

This small power was not difficult, he scanned it twice with his divine sense and basically remembered the runes, he was already quite proficient in drawing talismans, so the three of them went out to try its power.

Just as they walked out the door, they saw Liu Xiaoyu coming over, yawning and holding her waist, “Brother Chu Liang, I’m so tired after you helped me open my acupoints last night, my waist is still a bit sore, can I not work in the field today?”

“Sure, you can rest.” Chu Liang said.

Although Liu Xiaoyu was a demon, her physical strength was far inferior to his own. So after opening her acupoints, he felt nothing, but she was like a broken frame.

It seemed that she hadn’t fully recovered even after a night’s rest.

Watering the plants was something he could do later.

But as soon as he turned around, he saw Pǔ Shàn and Luo Yao looking at him with strange eyes, as if they were looking at a scumbag.

“This little girl doesn’t look very old…” Pǔ Shàn blinked and asked.

“And you let her do farm work…” Luo Yao said.

“It’s not what you think.” Chu Liang hurriedly explained, but the secret of the Dragon Blood Technique was not easy to spread, so after thinking about it, he could only say, “I’m helping her cultivate!”

Seeing their disbelieving faces, Chu Liang said in a serious tone: “We Shu Mountain disciples are full of righteousness, how could we deceive an ignorant girl! You have to believe me!”

Before he could finish his sentence, a shout came from the distant sky: “Chu Liang, my best brother! Save me! Let me hide here!”

Lin Bei rushed into Chu Liang’s house in a puff of black smoke, followed by a man named Lu Ren, who landed slowly.

Chu Liang had met this Lu Ren before, he was a senior brother from Jade Sword Peak.

“What happened?” Chu Liang asked with a frown.

“Forget about it, this guy deceived an innocent girl and got caught!” Lu Ren, who arrived later, said irritably, “He took the opportunity to distract Hakutaku yesterday and met a junior sister from Bamboo Sea Peak. He didn’t take her money and wanted to meet her privately at night. Her senior brothers and sisters found out and have been chasing him since last night. Now they are making a fuss at our Jade Sword Peak, so he ran here to hide.”

While Lu Ren was talking about Lin Bei, Chu Liang felt the gaze on him getting heavier and heavier.

Luo Yao sneered, “Aren’t you Shu Mountain disciples supposed to be upright?”

Pǔ Shàn turned his head to look inside the room, “My best brother…”

“Actually, we’re not that close…” Chu Liang immediately put on a straight face, saying, “I strongly condemn this behavior! He is just an exception, a disgrace to Shu Mountain! He absolutely does not represent the overall quality of Shu Mountain disciples. I’m not like him, my reputation in Shu Mountain has always been good.”

As he was speaking, another sword light fell from the distant sky.

It turned out to be Shang Ziliang. However, his face was very bad, as if he was very sad, and he was carrying a small bundle on his back.

“What happened to you?” Chu Liang asked.

“Our business has been too big these days, and my father found out.” Shang Ziliang said mournfully, “He said that all of you on Silver Sword Peak are shameless, and that I actually made friends with such people. He wants to sever the father-son relationship. Big brother, I’ve run away from home!”

Chu Liang slapped his forehead.

What on earth is going on…

The looks in Luo Yao and Pǔ Shàn’s eyes became even more certain.

Pǔ Shàn: “Upright, right?”

Luo Yao: “Good reputation, right?”

Chu Liang: “……”
