Chapter 14 – Eerie paper

Fang Jing did not expect Yang Jian to hang up the phone so decisively, leaving no room for negotiation.

He only wanted to appease Yang Jian first, and then, after leaving the school safely, he would turn his face without hesitation and refuse to hand over the parchment.

But Yang Jian’s decisiveness and straightforwardness made him panic.

What’s even more deadly is that the footsteps behind him appeared again.

Yang Jian’s guidance earlier only temporarily helped him get rid of the ghost behind him.

“What should I do? What should I do? Without Yang Jian’s help, I will definitely not be able to get out of here. I will die in the hands of the fierce ghost. I don’t want to die. My future has just begun. With the help of the parchment, I can definitely become the top person in this world. How can I be willing to die here?”

Fang Jing panicked, cold sweat pouring out, and subconsciously continued to run, hoping to get further away from the footsteps behind him.

But it was still useless; the footsteps behind him were getting closer.

The darkness around him seemed to be getting denser, able to swallow people up.

“No, I can’t die. Give him the parchment. Yang Jian is right. If I die, it doesn’t matter how much I know. Besides, I already have a rough understanding of the future information, and the value of the parchment to me is not as great as I imagined.”

Under the threat of death, there is nothing that cannot be given up.

Fang Jing tremblingly picked up his phone and dialed Zhang Wei’s number.

“Hello? Hello?”

The phone was answered.

“I’ll give you the parchment, I’ll give it to you, just promise to take me out of here.” Before the other side could speak, he preemptively said.

Yang Jian’s voice came from the other end of the phone, “Throw the parchment on the ground, I’ll go get it.”

At this moment, Fang Jing did not play any tricks. He took out a stack of dark brown paper from his pocket without hesitation and threw it on the ground.

“I’ve done it. Please help me quickly. I don’t want to die.”

“I’ll teach you how to get rid of the ghost behind you first. Go right,” Yang Jian said.

“Okay, thank you, thank you, thank you.” Fang Jing was panicked and followed Yang Jian’s instructions.

“Go right again,” Yang Jian continued.

Fang Jing followed suit, and the effect immediately showed.

The footsteps behind him were gradually getting further away, and finally disappeared completely. Fang Jing was both shocked and happy, knowing that he was temporarily safe.

“Foolish.”

Yang Jian put down his phone, a cold smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. He stopped and watched Fang Jing in front of him, running around in the woods like a headless fly, looking both shocked and happy, which he couldn’t help but find ridiculous.

There was no ghost following Fang Jing, only Yang Jian was following him.Scared by the ghost, and unable to see through the Ghost Domain, Fang Jing didn’t expect to find a person following him.

“Is this the parchment that records future information?” Yang Jian picked up the thing on the ground.

Brown leather, soft with a hint of coldness, as if taken out of an ice cellar, exuding a sense of unease and eeriness.

As soon as he touched it, his eye on the back of his hand involuntarily opened, emitting a faint red light.

“This is not parchment… it’s human skin, and it’s very wrong.” Yang Jian’s heart skipped a beat, and this thought came to mind.

He opened it and saw a line of words on the parchment.

“My name is Fang Jing. When you receive this letter, I’m already dead. Don’t be surprised. I’m you from ten years in the future, using a special method to convey future information to you. Please remember the following.”

“Ghosts have appeared in this world. This is not a joke. When you receive this message, it’s already too late. You are at least half a year behind other Ghost Handlers.”

“Be careful of your classmate Yang Jian in the future… he’s very scary. I was killed by him, so you must kill Yang Jian in advance, otherwise you will definitely die at his hands in the future. Remember to kill Yang Jian.”

“On June 20th of a certain year, during your evening self-study, you will meet a Interpol agent named Zhou Zheng who will explain some special knowledge to you. This is very important. That Zhou Zheng is a Ghost Handler belonging to the Asian branch, codenamed Ghost Infant Zhou Zheng, but he’s just a passerby, don’t worry too much about him.”

“Be careful of the Ghost Infant that runs out of his body. That thing will grow up. In a few months, that Ghost Infant will grow up into… I suggest you stay away… otherwise you will die.”

“You must join the Interpol organization as soon as possible…”

“Remember… gold… paper.”

“Stay away… escape.”

“…Ghost…”

When Yang Jian saw this information, he found that the handwriting on the parchment was quickly becoming blurred and dim. The key information was being erased by some force and disappeared completely in front of his eyes.

The densely packed notes had now become a blank parchment, just like characters disappearing from a computer screen.

Yang Jian hadn’t even seen anything useful, and the handwriting on the parchment that recorded future information had already disappeared completely.

“What’s going on?”

He furrowed his brows deeply and looked through the parchment. The handwriting had indeed disappeared, leaving no trace. Faced with this phenomenon, Yang Jian couldn’t help but think of a movie he had seen before: if the past changes, the future will also change.Could it be that he took away the sheepskin scroll that recorded the future information of Fang Jing, so the future him erased the traces?

However, Yang Jian had not thought about it for long when he saw himself appearing again on the sheepskin scroll.

Every stroke and every character kept appearing in front of his eyes, as if an invisible person was holding a pen and continuously writing.

“My name is Yang Jian. When you see this letter, I am already dead. I am you from ten years later, using a special method to tell you about the future…”

Yang Jian shuddered at this and looked at the sheepskin scroll in his hand, his eyes slightly narrowing. “What the hell is this…”

This was definitely not a sheepskin scroll that recorded future information.

He could feel the strangeness and evil of this piece of human skin. The words that had just appeared on it were not erased by the future Fang Jing, but erased by the human skin itself.

It had changed owners and was erasing the information of the previous owner, so it was now generating information about Yang Jian.

“The things written on it cannot be trusted. This thing cannot be kept.”

Yang Jian’s gaze flickered, feeling an unknown fear.

He looked around and wanted to throw this piece of human skin into the sewer, making it disappear forever.

But a series of characters appeared on the sheepskin scroll: “Don’t throw it away, don’t throw it away… I can help you.”

…Without me, you will die… you will die.

Soon, all the characters disappeared, leaving only two words: “Stay, stay.”

The two words kept repeating, twisting and turning, without any order, varying in size, covering the entire piece of human skin.
