Through his first encounter with the Green Dragons, Saga gained a certain understanding of the limited multiverse he was in.
On the surface, this was a vast cosmic world. The world he was in was a planet called Azeroth. However, Saga was not currently in the real Azeroth but in a strange space between reality and illusion, like a mirror reflection of Azeroth. This place, known as the Emerald Dream, was the territory of the Green Dragons.
In Saga’s understanding, if Azeroth were considered the material realm, then the Emerald Dream would be akin to a small plane.
“This multiverse is not as vast as the Great Ring.”
The so-called multiverse, much like the Great Ring, indeed contained many different world-sized universes. Some appeared to be a single universe on the surface but contained subspaces, dimensional layers, and various planes, which would also be considered a multiverse.
The Great Ring, with its numerous universes, countless planes, and myriad small worlds, was undoubtedly one of the largest multiverses.
“There are no legends of deities here. The five great guardian dragons and a few other protectors are almost the strongest beings on the surface.”
Saga pondered internally.
“However, even if the scale is smaller, a vast multiverse like this cannot possibly have only these strongest beings.”
“These Green Dragons are not very powerful and don’t know much.”
“Perhaps the true powerhouses of this multiverse reside in dimensional spaces similar to the outer planes, or maybe they are not in Azeroth at all.”
Another thing that puzzled Saga was that he was not oppressed by the rules of this multiverse.
According to the Traveling Mage, entering a limited multiverse that did not belong to oneself would inevitably have some impact, resulting in a decrease in power.
But this did not happen to Saga.
“Maybe the Traveling Mage’s judgment was wrong, and not all multiverses have rule oppression.”
“Or perhaps it’s due to my own uniqueness, like in the Casserly Abyss, that I can avoid rule oppression.”
Saga did not delve deeply into this issue.
He glanced around and then looked at the Green Dragons, saying, “How can I leave the Emerald Dream and return to Azeroth?”
To learn more about this multiverse, going to Azeroth was the best way. The Emerald Dream was just one of many realms on Azeroth.
The leading Green Dragon thought for a moment, hesitated, and then said, “Lord Hyperion, the Emerald Dream has strict requirements for entry and exit.”
“Even we cannot come and go as we please.”
After a pause, the Green Dragon continued, “If you urgently wish to leave the Emerald Dream, you can only seek the assistance of the great Green Dragon Queen. Only with her help can you return to Azeroth.”
“Then take me to your queen,” Saga said calmly.
From the Green Dragons’ descriptions and impressions of the Green Dragon Queen, Saga estimated that she was a demigod. The other dragon kings and guardians were likely also in the demigod category.
“The queen is one with the Emerald Dream and rarely reveals her true form.”
“We do not know the queen’s whereabouts.”
The leading Green Dragon looked troubled and said.
Another Green Dragon added, “Only a few lucky ones can hear the queen’s whispers in the natural flow and make contact with her.”
Saga pondered for a moment, then smiled slightly and said to the Green Dragons, “I see. Since I can’t return to Azeroth for now, you may leave. Don’t waste your time on me. Let me enjoy the beauty of the Emerald Dream and seek your queen’s attention.”
Influenced by Saga’s psychic energy, the Green Dragons nodded, spread their wings, and flew away from Saga.
Retracting his gaze from the departing Green Dragons, Saga also spread his massive wings and soared into the sky, flying high above the Emerald Dream and looking down at the landscape below.
During this process, thanks to the Traveling Mage’s inheritance of green spell power, as he flew over the primeval forest environment, a vast amount of green spell power emanated from the forest, converging on Saga and rapidly accumulating his green spell power.
At the same time, Saga’s gaze swept over the Emerald Dream, discovering that it was indeed different from the normal material world.
On the surface, the Emerald Dream appeared to be a wild and primitive world.
There were no man-made structures in sight, only towering mountains, rolling hills, lush forests, and clear lakes.
Interestingly, besides these, occasional illusory light and shadows would appear without any warning, only to vanish in an instant, changing beyond recognition in the blink of an eye.
Among them were sapient beings in conversation, flocks of birds flying across the sky, and magnificent cities.
“The Emerald Dream is a mirror world of Azeroth. These fleeting light and shadows should be events happening on the planet Azeroth.”
“Through the Emerald Dream, if one is attentive enough, it is possible to observe the real world.”
Saga mused internally.
However, compared to indirect observation, he preferred to go directly to the real Azeroth.
“If the Green Dragon Queen is truly one with the Emerald Dream, finding her shouldn’t be too difficult.”
Upon careful observation, Saga discovered that the Emerald Dream was a unique plane composed of spiritual and natural forces. As long as one possessed either of these forces and was strong enough, they could penetrate the surface and reach the essence, making contact with the Green Dragon Queen.
With this thought, the Golden Dragon folded his wings and descended into the dense, thriving forest below.
Exhaling slowly, Saga coiled on the ground, focusing his mind and closing his eyes slightly.
The brilliance of psychic energy flickered like lightning, delving into the Emerald Dream.
Centered on Saga, green spell power extended like a web, touching the surrounding forest environment and entwining every tree.
As time passed, as Saga’s psychic and spell power delved deeper into the Emerald Dream, he saw it.
Beneath the surface of a primeval world filled with verdant mountains and lush forests, countless pure spiritual and natural energies mixed together, forming the essence of the Emerald Dream.
At the same time, a whisper suddenly sounded.
“Who is spying on the Emerald Dream?”
Boom!
In an instant, it was as if an invisible wall pushed forward, shaking Saga’s psychic energy out of the depths of the Emerald Dream.
The Golden Dragon opened his eyes and stood up.
Whoosh!
A fierce wind rose before him, sweeping up countless flowers and leaves.
Endless light appeared out of thin air, converging to form a massive dragon body over a hundred meters long.
Sensing Saga’s deep intrusion into the Emerald Dream, the dragon’s back and sides were covered with emerald-like scales, and its chest and abdomen were protected by purple dragon scales. Its elegant and slender body had a graceful curve.
A crescent-shaped crown floated above its head.
With an aura formed over a long period, blending with the surrounding environment, it exuded a natural and dreamlike feeling.
As the guardian of this place, the Green Dragon Queen Ysera had appeared.
At the same time, the might of a demigod creature spread like a storm.
This power was immense.
Among all the demigods Saga had encountered, it was second only to the Titan God of Wrath in his demigod state, even stronger than the Mud Crab Queen in her Swamp Abyss Crab form.
Dragons were inherently powerful beings.
To become the queen of the Green Dragons and the guardian of a magical realm, the Green Dragon Queen was certainly no ordinary dragon.
Saga was not surprised by the Green Dragon Queen’s strength, but it was not enough to make him feel fear.
Facing the Green Dragon Queen, Saga smiled slightly, showing goodwill, and said, “Green Dragon Queen Ysera, guardian of the Emerald Dream.”
“I mean no harm. I delved into the Emerald Dream only to gain your attention and meet you in person.”
Unlike the Chromatic Dragons in the Great Ring, the Green Dragon Queen was not a sinister, evil, and suspicious being. Moreover, due to her fusion with nature, she had the ability to see into people’s hearts.
From Saga, she indeed did not sense any malice.
Saga’s appearance also easily garnered goodwill.
The Green Dragon Queen’s angry expression slowly softened, and her gaze took on a hint of curiosity as she examined the golden dragon before her.
Even with her vast knowledge, it was the first time she had seen such a unique dragon as Saga.
Such a handsome and beautiful golden dragon was a rare sight in her life.
“Golden Dragon, you are a powerful dragon and surely not unknown, yet I have never heard of a golden dragon like you. Where do you come from? How did you end up in the Emerald Dream?”
The Green Dragon Queen’s eyes glowed with the light of insight.
Though she did not display her full might, Saga also felt quite powerful to her. Her intuition told her that this golden dragon before her was not just a pretty face but possessed great abilities.
In Azeroth, such an outstanding and unique dragon should not be unknown.
Saga thought for a moment and then said, “It’s normal that you haven’t heard of me.”
“I don’t belong here. I come from a life-bearing planet entirely different from Azeroth.”
“In the vast cosmos, life exists beyond Azeroth.”
The Green Dragon Queen did not show any surprise at Saga’s words, as if she had already understood this point.
“An accidental spatial teleportation brought me here unintentionally.”
As he had told the Green Dragons before, Saga said the same.
He did not lie, only withheld some information.
The Green Dragon Queen could tell that Saga was not lying and sensed that he was hiding something, but it was not important. Her primary concern was to confirm that the golden dragon before her was not here to invade the Emerald Dream.
Once she confirmed that Saga was not an invader and bore no malice, the Green Dragon Queen relaxed. Her emerald eyes showed a look of appreciation as she invited, “Your accidental arrival in the Emerald Dream suggests a fateful connection. It is the mysterious destiny that brought you here.”
“If you cannot return to your planet for now and wish to stay, the Emerald Dream can be your second home.”
Saga pondered for a moment and then said, “Thank you for your appreciation, but I am more curious to see the real Azeroth.”
“Coming to a new world so different from my previous one, please understand my curiosity.”
The Green Dragon Queen nodded slightly and said, “I can sense that you possess strong psychic energy and natural potential. Your arrival in the Emerald Dream is not entirely accidental.”
“You can go to the real Azeroth and embark on a journey to explore the new world, but this does not conflict with making the Emerald Dream your home.”
“By residing in the Emerald Dream and becoming its guardian, the Emerald Dream will also protect you and will not interfere with your journey in the real world.”
The Green Dragon Queen’s words were sincere, not just a whim.
Saga thought for a while and then, under the Green Dragon Queen’s expectant gaze, said, “You are right. Perhaps I am destined for this place. Making it my home on this planet seems like the right choice.”
A joyful smile appeared on the Green Dragon Queen’s face.
“Welcome to the Emerald Dream.”
With that, the Green Dragon Queen took to the sky, turned to Saga, and said, “Follow me. Let me show you the beautiful scenery of the Emerald Dream, help you get familiar with this place, and let the Emerald Dream get to know you.”
Saga followed the Green Dragon Queen.
A golden and a green dragon bathed in the bright sunlight, soaring above the verdant mountains.
At the same time, many Green Dragons and other Emerald Dream creatures noticed their presence.
They looked up in awe at the Green Dragon Queen and curiously observed the golden dragon flying alongside her, speculating about his origins.
The Green Dragon Queen led Saga across the sky, showing him the Emerald Dream.
At the same time, she was announcing her recognition and acceptance of Saga to the creatures of the Emerald Dream.
In the following period, Saga enjoyed the time spent with the Green Dragon Queen in this primeval natural world.
They picked crisp and delicious fruits, sipped sweet and clear spring water, soared among the mountains, swam in the lakes, and danced in the sea of flowers.
This close-to-nature, carefree lifestyle was very pleasant.
Saga’s enjoyment was genuine.
However, he was not a person who would be content with a carefree, nature-loving lifestyle.
The Emerald Dream was peaceful, with few invaders. An outsider like Saga, who accidentally stepped into this place, was a rarity in centuries.
Although he had become one of its guardians, the completely peaceful life with no conflicts made Saga feel a bit bored.
After spending about two months in the Emerald Dream, Saga began to think about temporarily leaving and going to the real world of Azeroth.
For Saga, the Emerald Dream was a wonderful place to rest and relax, but staying there for too long would become tedious and dull.
At this time, by the edge of a lake, Saga expressed his thoughts to the Green Dragon Queen, saying it was time to see the real Azeroth.
“Ysera, I plan to leave the Emerald Dream and go to the real Azeroth.”
After spending some time together, Saga and the Green Dragon Queen had grown closer, allowing him to call her by her name.
On the other hand, in the Emerald Dream, due to the queen’s status, ordinary Green Dragons and Emerald Dream creatures could only look up to Ysera with great respect.
It wasn’t that this was bad.
However, Ysera often felt lonely because of this. She rarely revealed her true form because her appearance would only bring awe and respect from the surrounding creatures, with no equal communication.
Her personality was also relatively reserved, not knowing how to change this situation and unable to express her loneliness to other creatures.
Saga’s arrival brought a period of joy to the Green Dragon Queen.
Unlike other Green Dragons, Saga treated her as an equal, making the Green Dragon Queen feel very relaxed and able to speak freely, dispelling much of her long-standing loneliness.
“You can come with me. I need a guide.”
Seeing a hint of reluctance on the Green Dragon Queen’s face, Saga added.
The Green Dragon Queen shook her head and said, “I am the guardian of the Emerald Dream. Unless there is something of utmost importance, I cannot leave here.”
“I need to ensure the safe operation of the Emerald Dream.”
The Emerald Dream was not just a mirror world.
Significant damage in the real Azeroth, such as the destruction of mountains or the drying up of rivers, could be felt by the creatures of the Emerald Dream. At such times, the Green Dragons of the Emerald Dream, guided by the Green Dragon Queen, could go to the corresponding places and use special means to repair the natural damage, allowing the real Azeroth to recover quickly.
As a guardian of nature and dreams entrusted with a heavy responsibility, the Green Dragon Queen was diligent and would not leave the Emerald Dream lightly.
Additionally, through the Green Dragon Queen, Saga learned more information.
As he had guessed when he first arrived, there were stronger beings in this world beyond the surface guardians.
The Titan Guardians who granted power to the five great guardian dragons, the Elemental Lords sealed in ancient times, and the Titans who created the Titan Guardians—beings who had long left Azeroth but left many traces and powerful creations.
Here, Titans did not refer to the giants who were the Dragon Kind’s enemies in the Great Ring.
Instead, they were a race of god-like beings.
Since he had arrived in Azeroth, he temporarily referred to this place as the Azeroth Multiverse.
He now knew that there were indeed gods in the Azeroth Multiverse, but they were more like guardians of certain realms, mostly demigod creatures, and true deities did not exist. Instead, there were Titans.
Titans were equivalent to the gods of the Azeroth Multiverse.
Interestingly, they left creations and guardians but did not demand worship.
Saga thought that, according to the classification of the Great Ring Multiverse, the Titans of the Azeroth Multiverse were likely Primordial Gods, but due to a lack of information, he could not be entirely sure.
Back to the point.
Saga understood the Green Dragon Queen’s response and said, “Ysera, I see reluctance in your eyes. Don’t worry, I consider the Emerald Dream my home in this world. I am only leaving temporarily and will return in the future.”
The Green Dragon Queen smiled and nodded, saying, “I will send you out of the Emerald Dream.”
After a pause, the Green Dragon Queen asked, “Do you have any specific place in Azeroth you want to go to?”
Saga shook his head.
He knew too little about Azeroth, which was why he wanted to see it for himself.
“I know a god named Cenarius.”
“He is the embodiment of Azeroth’s natural energy, a forest guardian, and one of the most beloved gods, revered as the King of the Forest.”
“When he was first born, I sensed his presence, brought him into the dream, taught him knowledge, and helped him mature from ignorance. He considers me his foster mother.”
“If you are willing, I can send you to Cenarius, and he can be your guide.”
Saga did not want to wander aimlessly, so having a guide was the best option.
“Alright, I look forward to meeting this King of the Forest.”
Hearing Saga’s response, the Green Dragon Queen smiled and nodded, then seemed to remember something and added, “By the way, not long ago, Cenarius told me he encountered two uninvited guests in the forest, two strange humans.”
“They claim to be from ten thousand years in the future, saying a disaster is about to occur, and one of them claims to be a dragon but cannot transform back into dragon form.”
“Cenarius is not a dragon and cannot fully determine the truth.”
“When you go, you can help him see if the human who claims to be a dragon is really a dragon.”
Humans from ten thousand years in the future?
Saga pondered.
Because of the Red Dragoness, Saga was very sensitive to topics of time travel, although this seemed to be just time travel.
And a human claiming to be a dragon but unable to transform back into dragon form was also quite interesting.
“Sounds like an intriguing matter.”
“When I get to Azeroth, I will help the King of the Forest determine the truth of their claims.”
With that, the Green Dragon Queen spread her wings and soared into the sky, leading Saga through the Emerald Dream.
The two dragons, one golden and one green, flew together, their scales glistening in the sunlight.
As they flew, the Green Dragon Queen explained the various aspects of the Emerald Dream, its connection to Azeroth, and the roles of its inhabitants.
Saga listened intently, absorbing the information and marveling at the intricate balance between the dream world and the material world.
After a while, they reached a serene glade where the boundary between the Emerald Dream and Azeroth was thin.
“This is where you will cross back into Azeroth,” the Green Dragon Queen said, her voice gentle yet firm. “Remember, the Emerald Dream will always be your home, and you are welcome to return anytime.”
Saga nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude and respect for the Green Dragon Queen. “Thank you, Ysera. I will return when the time is right.”
With a final nod, the Green Dragon Queen used her power to open a portal, and Saga stepped through, leaving the dream world behind.
As he emerged into the real Azeroth, Saga took a deep breath, feeling the tangible reality of the world around him. He was ready to explore this new world, uncover its mysteries, and perhaps, find his place within it.
The adventure had only just begun.
