In a world filled with quicksand and swamps, there was a rare mountainous region with towering peaks.
Bathed in a faint red twilight, atop the highest peak among the mountains, the Elf King Ramiel stood silently, gazing at the unchanging scenery of the Casserly Abyss.
Unlike most of his kin, who loved romance, beauty, and order, Ramiel had shown a strong desire for combat and slaughter since he was young. His heart was cold and ruthless, making him an outcast among his kind, subjected to much exclusion and isolation.
Before he came of age, during a conflict with his kin, Ramiel mercilessly killed his opponent without any remorse, leading to his expulsion from the elven tribe.
Exiled to the outside world, Ramiel’s warlike and brutal nature was fully unleashed.
Through countless bloody battles, he rose like a comet, quickly becoming a legendary overlord. He then returned to his tribe and seized the throne through violence.
The old Elf King, who died by his hand, claimed that the great Elf God would punish Ramiel for his atrocities, making him pay a heavy price.
Ramiel, who had no reverence or faith in his tribe’s deities, scoffed at this.
Before any so-called divine punishment could descend, Ramiel destroyed all shrines and statues related to the Elf God within the tribe, committing an act of rebellion and issuing a challenge to the Elf God.
This act of blasphemy caught the attention of the Elf God.
The deity descended and defeated Ramiel.
For such a rebel, the best choice would have been to annihilate his soul. However, the Elf God, moved by a hint of compassion for this exceptionally talented elf with the potential for godhood, chose to exile him to the Casserly Abyss instead of killing him outright.
As long as Ramiel was willing to submit, pray to the Elf God for forgiveness, and offer his faith, he could leave the Casserly Abyss and become a Chosen One of the Elf God, with a bright future and the potential to ascend to the divine halls.
But…
“Corellon, I will never bow to you.”
“God? You are just a coward wearing a mask of hypocrisy, like the rest of the elves.”
“All I see in the elven tribe are weak and cowardly souls.”
“As long as I live, I will find a way, at any cost, to overthrow your divine rule, shatter the elves’ mask of hypocrisy, and unleash the true nature of slaughter and battle within.”
Ramiel closed his eyes slightly and sat down on the ground.
With a hum, the air around him distorted unnaturally, and a blood-red sun emerged behind him. The omnipresent red glow of the Casserly Abyss seemed to be drawn towards this blood sun. As time passed and more red light poured in, the blood sun’s radiance grew brighter, and Ramiel’s aura strengthened.
Unlike ordinary abyssal prisoners, Ramiel’s aura did not resemble that of otherworldly abyssal prisoners but rather that of a native Casserly Abyss creature, fully integrated into the abyssal atmosphere.
This was why he could continue to grow stronger in the Casserly Abyss.
When he was first exiled to the Casserly Abyss, Ramiel, like other abyssal prisoners, suffered from the constant weakening effect of the red light, making it difficult to advance in strength and leaving him with no hope.
But unlike ordinary abyssal prisoners, Ramiel never gave up on finding a way to strengthen himself, no matter how many times he failed.
After countless failures, Ramiel finally discovered a method to continue growing stronger within the Casserly Abyss.
He realized that, apart from native creatures, all exiled abyssal prisoners were affected by various factors, preventing them from growing stronger.
So, to continue strengthening himself, Ramiel decided to transform into a Casserly Abyss creature.
This was an extremely difficult process.
Many abyssal prisoners had thought of using this method to escape the oppression of the Casserly Abyss.
However, all who attempted this were driven mad by the abyssal energy, turning into twisted monsters. Though they escaped the abyss’s oppression, they lost their free will, living a fate worse than death.
Aware of the immense risk, Ramiel resolutely absorbed the abyssal energy into his body.
After enduring a long period of painful torment, unlike countless failed abyssal prisoners, Ramiel successfully transformed himself into a Casserly Abyss creature. His aura was now completely different from that of a normal elf.
The mystical energy sun that had accompanied him since birth also changed from a brilliant golden sun to a blood-red sun, exuding a strong Casserly Abyss aura, even more intense than that of native creatures.
This transformation allowed him to retain his sanity and avoid becoming a monster.
The once radiant sun had turned into a blood-red sun, full of madness and danger.
As a Casserly Abyss creature, Ramiel could wield greater power within the abyss.
But as a consequence, if he left the Casserly Abyss, his strength would be significantly weakened, and he would be seen as an evil creature, hunted by the forces of good and order.
“The Titan God of Wrath is dead. Once I ascend to the demigod realm, nothing in this cage will be able to stop me.”
“I will rule here, and from this starting point, I will become the king of the Casserly Abyss.”
“And then, Corellon, I will challenge you again.”
The red light flickered.
Bathed in it, Ramiel sat with his eyes slightly closed, his expression calm. His life force, at the peak of the legendary ninth tier, continued to grow, gradually advancing towards demigod status.
Not long after, Ramiel suddenly opened his eyes, his gaze sharp, turning to look at the sky.
In the distant sky, filled with red light, a point of golden light was rapidly approaching. Initially just a small dot, it quickly grew into a vaguely visible golden dragon’s shadow due to its incredible speed.
With his keen intuition and perception, Ramiel sensed the approach of the Golden Dragon.
“I feel it, danger… but this dragon is not a demigod.”
“Who could it be?”
Ramiel’s eyes narrowed slightly as he slowly stood up.
Meanwhile, the majestic and graceful Golden Dragon had arrived, looking down at the vast mountain range below. Its massive body blocked the red light from the sky, casting a shadow over many abyssal prisoners living below.
Besides Ramiel, who was the first to notice Saga, more abyssal prisoners saw his arrival as he descended.
Many powerful legendary prisoners flew into the air, looking at Saga. One high-ranking prisoner warned, “This is the territory of the Blood Sun King. Intruder, leave immediately, or face the consequences.”
Blood Sun King.
Ignoring the threats of these legendary prisoners, the Golden Dragon’s gaze shifted, following a powerful aura to the Elf King atop the mountain.
A face so handsome it was hard to distinguish gender.
Calm and cold eyes.
Golden skin covered in intricate patterns.
Long red hair like blazing fire.
“A sun elf, but something’s off.”
“With a strong Casserly Abyss aura, he doesn’t seem like an otherworldly abyssal prisoner but rather a native creature.”
Saga scrutinized the Elf King.
The elven race also had different types of elves, similar to the Dragon Kind.
Among them, two types were the most noble: the Sun Elves and the Moon Elves. They were rare and individually powerful, considered high elves, beloved by the elven deities, and often devout, serving as apostles of the gods.
But the Elf King before him seemed entirely different from a typical Sun Elf.
If the rumors were true and he had challenged the Elf God, he certainly had no faith in the elven deities, making him a rare anomaly.
His cold eyes were also unlike any elf Saga had ever seen.
They were the eyes of someone who had seen much death and had no mercy for life.
Saga was very familiar with that look.
“Can’t you hear me? Intruder, you’re angering me.”
The ignored high-ranking prisoner showed a murderous intent, his voice vicious.
The surrounding abyssal prisoners were eager to move.
On the other side, Ramiel waved his hand, his voice as cold as winter reaching the prisoners’ ears.
“Stand down, don’t seek your own death.”
Seek their own death?
The prisoners were stunned, not understanding why Ramiel would say that.
However, some quick-witted prisoners began to recognize Saga, his features gradually overlapping with an image in their minds.
One prisoner trembled, exclaiming involuntarily:
“Emperor Dragon?”
Upon hearing this, the other abyssal prisoners felt a chill in their hearts.
Emperor Dragon, the god-slaying dragon who had caused the fall of the Titan God in the material realm.
Realizing who he was, the prisoners were terrified, retreating in panic.
“The Emperor Dragon killed the Titan God of Wrath in the material realm, and you’re still just a legend, not a demigod.”
“I have also faced deities and know their power.”
“No matter the specifics, it’s an incredible achievement.”
Ramiel praised.
As he spoke, his golden eyes, similar to Saga’s, began to glow, as if flames were flickering within.
The Golden Dragon looked down at Ramiel from the sky, speaking slowly:
“Blood Sun King.”
“I heard you challenged the Elf God and are considered the strongest among legends here.”
Rising slowly until he was level with the Golden Dragon, Ramiel’s handsome face remained expressionless as he stared into the dragon’s eyes, saying:
“That’s just a title given by others. I never claimed to be the strongest among legends.”
“However, within the legendary realm, I have never met a worthy opponent. Even demigods have fallen to me.”
“To me, legends are nothing but weaklings.”
Ramiel’s confidence was evident, his words calm yet filled with an undeniable arrogance.
On the other side, feeling the composed aura of someone who had survived countless battles and emerged victorious, Saga’s lips curved into a smile, his voice deep:
“You possess the power to sweep through legends. Show it to me.”
