Vol.1 – Chapter 123 – Wake up

What matters in the process of bonding is not the result, but the experience itself. When the Heavenly Heart Realm enters the Human Realm in the future, one can break free from the mirror with this experience.

However, there were rumors of a master who entered the Dao with his own body to help his disciple enter the Heavenly Human Realm and cross the emotional tribulation. The disciple emerged from the Tribulation Crossing, but the master was deeply trapped in it.

However, Dragon Turtle is a turtle, and she is just a trader.

You guard the little girl for three months, and I will help you cross the emotional tribulation.

Su Huanian gently bit into a hawthorn, sour and sweet. Life in the mortal world is indeed colorful.

A hoarse female voice came from behind: “Senior brother! It’s that Big Turtle, huh? The demoness who killed the scholar is on its back!”

“Demoness, stop!”

The Heavenly Monitoring Department?

Su He was stunned for a moment, but quickly understood the situation. His four legs moved rapidly, speeding away like a flying bird.

Never underestimate the speed of a turtle. When it truly bursts forth, it is astonishing.

Su Huanian sat calmly on the turtle shell, turning her head to look at the court minions chasing after her.

A male and a female monk from the Heavenly Monitoring Department, but they couldn’t ride swords. They were beings that Su Huanian could easily dismiss without using any extraordinary means.

“Demoness! Demoness! Demoness!” The female monk from the Heavenly Monitoring Department chased after them on horseback, gritting her teeth. She was indeed not a good person. No decent female cultivator would be this beautiful. She was clearly one of the demonesses from the Demon Sect, yet she didn’t show any seductive charm, instead she was as cold as a fairy.

“Demoness!”

“Demoness!”

What decent woman rides a turtle?

The city of Gusu has a developed water system. Su He carried Su Huanian and plunged into the river, swimming towards the outskirts of the city.

He controlled it perfectly. Although his entry into the water was fierce, the splash was not big. Only a few droplets fell on Su Huanian’s frosty jade feet, then fell onto Su He’s turtle shell along her ankle.

The two monks from the Heavenly Monitoring Department stopped at the water’s edge on horseback, watching helplessly as the turtle carried the demoness away, leaving Gusu.

The river connected to the Zhenze, Su He swam along, and from a distance, he could see the city of Gu on the other side of the Zhenze. As the sun was setting, Su He was not in a hurry, and Su Huanian did not urge him, so they watched the sunset and the moon rise in the lake, and then the stars fill the sky.

Inside Su He, a series of popping sounds like frying beans came one after another. He blinked, not understanding why.

Su Huanian said softly, “You have opened your acupoints, and the fusion of acupoints is about to be completed.”

She said it was not an illusion, but reality.

Su He blinked, “Has my cultivation level increased?”

“Yes.”

“Am I about to transform into a human form? If I transform into a human form, will you marry me?”

Su Huanian’s heart contracted. Although she had memories, this was the first time someone had proposed to her. She and Feng Yiju were truly arranged by their parents, and there was no such process.

“No!” Su Huanian coldly refused.

Su He was not disappointed. He quietly looked at the reflection in the water, floating in the starry sky.

The two of them didn’t speak again, quietly until dawn. When the city gate opened, Su He carried Su Huanian into the city of Gu. This was a small city, without the Heavenly Monitoring Department stationed.

Although the city was small, it was very lively. There were far fewer demons here, and people frequently looked at Su He curiously. Even a bold old man came to ask if this turtle was for sale.

Su He scolded him and sent him away.

Who cares if he’s an old man? He has traveled through this world and grown so big, who knows who will be older in the end.

An old man who was molding clay figures nearby laughed.

Su He’s eyes lit up. This old man’s craftsmanship was excellent, and the wolves, insects, tigers, leopards, handsome men, and beautiful women he molded were lifelike.

“Old man, mold a clay figure!”

The old man agreed, cut off a large piece of clay, and his rough hands flew around. In half an hour, a statue of a fairy riding a turtle was molded.

The turtle looked domineering with a hint of lewdness, but the fairy was as beautiful as a lotus flower just out of the water.

Su He was stunned.

Su Huanian on his back laughed softly, “Why not smash it, mix it with living water, and mold one for you and one for me?”

“Huh?” Su He widened his eyes, “Why smash such a beautiful fairy?”

He stared at the clay figure without blinking, tilting his head and thinking, “I always feel like something is missing. What do you think about molding a naughty little girl with fluttering feet next to it?”

Su Huanian was suddenly stunned.

Su He was still muttering to himself, “Not too big, not too small, just over three years old would be good, dressed in a little red dress, and fierce.”

As he spoke, the old man who molded the clay figures actually made a little girl, who was milkily fierce. She was placed on the turtle shell and was just right for running back and forth, with a lively and playful appearance.

Su Huanian’s breathing became rapid.

This illusion was formed based on the Dragon Turtle’s thoughts. The old man who molded the clay figures could make such clay figures, which meant that the image of the little girl in Su He’s thoughts had become clear.

“Do you remember?” Su Huanian asked softly.

“What?” Su He looked puzzled.

Su Huanian shook her head, “It’s nothing.”

It was not a memory, but a subconscious thought.

She quietly watched the clay figure.

Su He left two taels of silver, and with the old man’s thousand thanks, he carried Su Huanian away.

A young man selling kites nearby widened his eyes, “Turtle sir, buy a kite, tomorrow is the Shangsi Festival, take the turtle lady out to fly a kite!”

You’re the turtle lady, your whole family is turtle ladies!

Su He snorted and sped up.

The Shangsi Festival, also known as the Daughter’s Festival, is a time for outings, exorcising evil, flying kites, and dating…

Su Huanian could not possibly participate in such a festival. After wandering around for a while and buying a few trinkets, Su Huanian seemed to lose interest. So, Su He carried her on his back and returned to Zhenze, leisurely spending half a day.

Su He looked at the green grass, feeling the warm breeze.

Su Huanian placed the clay figure by the shore and went into meditation again. When she opened her eyes again, Su He was running back from the edge of the closing city gate, panting heavily.

“If you like the town, we can live in it,” Su Huanian said softly.

Su He shook his head. Su Huanian was wanted, and it was only because of her superior Taoist skills that they could occasionally visit the town. Living there would be a provocation.

He put down a package, which contained a few desserts.

He had noticed that Su Huanian didn’t need to eat at all. Occasionally, she would eat some fruits, just to satisfy her taste buds.

The night passed without words, and another clear morning arrived. Not long after dawn, groups of young men and women came to enjoy the spring outside the city.

Today, the wind was just right for flying kites.

When Su Huanian finished her meditation and opened her eyes, she saw groups of kites flying in the sky.

Each kite was painted with a giant turtle, a fairy, and a playful girl. The Giant Turtle was mighty, the Fairy was heroic, and the girl was mischievous.

Su Huanian looked at the sky and chuckled, “So, this is what you were doing when you went into the city yesterday?”

If it were a girl in her twenties, she might have been moved.

Su He laughed, “Yes, it’s the Shangsi Festival! I’ve never celebrated it before, and it’s spring now.”

Su Huanian looked at him indifferently, “You can’t cultivate into a human.”

Some things are better left as thoughts, they can’t become reality.

Su He was silent for a moment, “I have a cultivation method called ‘Transforming Beast’. If I can’t cultivate into a human, can you cultivate into a turtle?”

Su Huanian looked at him quietly, and after a while, she smiled, “So, you’ve woken up.”

The distant illusion shattered like a mirror.

The environment hit the soft spot, waking up means understanding, and understanding means moving on.

Su He didn’t know what was going on with the Su Huanian in front of him, whether it was an illusion or reality. He looked at Su Huanian, “Can you cultivate into a turtle?”

Su Huanian shook her head gently, “I only cultivate the sword!”
