Chapter 53 – Shirayuki: Let’s just kill Shirayuki!

Su He tilted his head, deep in thought. If he followed the Dragon Turtle’s method, the Dragon Turtle clan would never reach the equivalent of the seventh step of Traverse Heaven!

The seventh step of Traverse Heaven is the limit for cultivators, but the gap between the initial knock on the door to immortality and the seventh step after tens of thousands of years is even greater than that between humans and dogs.

How could they be spoken of in the same breath?

How could the Dragon Turtle hope to fight against the likes of the top-tier Traverse Heaven seventh step experts such as the three kings, three dukes, the grand marshals of the Sealed Emperor’s Great World, and the ten great immortal sect leaders of the Mysterious Wasteland?

This Turtle didn’t know what impolite thoughts were running through his mind as his massive claw stomped down, annihilating countless sneaky soaring snakes, and then said to Su He, “You’ve only been on the path for a few years, don’t think too much, cultivate well and there will always be a time when you shock the heavens.”

Su He grinned sheepishly.

This Turtle laughed and said, “Cultivate right here. If there’s an accident in the chaos, I’ll need you to take action. If there’s anything you don’t understand about cultivation, you can ask me.”

The best part about having a small tribe was that any question could be guided one-on-one by an absolute powerhouse at any time. In Su He’s memory, the only ones who enjoyed such treatment were the sole heirs of some top domestic universities in his previous life.

At this moment… Su He looked outside. It was mid-spring when he entered the chaos, but now it was already summer. If the world in his previous life was similar to this place in terms of time, it should be the college entrance examination season, right?

Su He smiled, shook off the random thoughts in his mind, and asked This Turtle seriously, “Uncle Lei, I’ve seen White Spirit condense a human form. Can the Dragon Turtle cultivate a human form?”

This question had been pressing on his heart for a very long time.

This Turtle replied without hesitation, “No, don’t even think about it! Divine Beasts and humans are both Dao Bodies, and a Dao Body speaks of the Dao. Having one means you cannot have another. Just like you can’t be a Dragon Turtle and a Kylin at the same time…”

He looked at Su He and suddenly fell silent.

“I missed the chance to take you to rob the Sealed Emperor’s Palace these past few days. I want to study that unreasonable talent of yours.”

This Turtle noted this down in his little book, then looked at Su He and said, “In principle, it’s impossible for a Divine Beast to transform into a human form. The Transformation of Beasts cultivates the beast body, not the human body—otherwise, how would one overcome the bewilderment calamity in human form?

White Spirit… What White Spirit left for you should only be an Illusion, which can be shaped at will, just for amusement. I’ve never heard of a Divine Beast transforming into a human form, otherwise Ji Feixue wouldn’t have given up her dragon identity at the moment before overcoming the heavenly tribulation to become a Divine Beast, transforming into a dragon demon and condensing a human form.”

Su He fell silent. What White Spirit left behind was not an Illusion, but a thought form. The thought form should be the same shape as the original body.

Thinking of the Great Tomb World, where White Spirit danced alone under the moon with the Basalt phantom behind her, Su He didn’t say more. Uncle Lei didn’t understand the specifics, and it seemed that White Spirit had hidden many things from the Dragon Turtle clan.

That dance, now recalled by Su He, might indeed be a set of techniques related to the spirit and soul. But why White Spirit left such a dance behind was unknown.

With no other questions, the two turtles went about their own business.

This Turtle used the Stone Drum Altar to grind away the sneaky soaring snakes, while Su He closed his eyes and completely immersed his consciousness into his inner world, condensing a thought form and heading towards the volcano.

The toad watched the volcano from afar, looking somewhat bored.

Lightning flashed on the leg bone of the Kui ox beneath the volcano, and the entire leg bone seemed to have softened, wriggling with the flow of the magma.

“Is it about time to condense the Talisman?” the toad asked listlessly.

It’s a frog! What was This Turtle thinking, making it guard next to the volcano?

Su He shook his head, “Not yet.”

He didn’t know how to Refine Artifacts, so he had to meet the standards of Senior Can Chen’s tutorial at every step, otherwise, if something went wrong, he wouldn’t even know how to salvage it.

Su He lay at the mouth of the volcano, looking down at the leg bone. His eyes slightly closed, his mind stirred as he drew talismans in the air.

Su He didn’t even understand the meaning of the talismans he drew; he was simply copying them, then infusing the power of the world, turtle essence, and Divine Sense into the talisman according to the proportions listed by Senior Can Chen.

As long as the Divine Sense and intention were strong enough, even the most delicate operations wouldn’t have a high chance of failure. Su He practiced the operation twice in advance to ensure accuracy during the Refining Artifact process.

One by one, the talismans floated in the air.

Time passed bit by bit, and Su He focused on copying the talismans, with the voice of the toad coming from the bottom of his heart.

“It’s ready!”

Su He opened his eyes and saw that the Kui ox leg bone had completely softened, lying limply on the magma.

He chanted softly, and the power of the world from his inner world surged forth, mixed with true essence and Divine Sense, constructing talismans in front of him.

With a slight intention, the talismans gently fell, merging into the leg bone.

The leg bone, large as a water tank, wriggled and condensed with the falling talismans, turning over and over like kneaded dough, becoming smaller and more delicate, its color turning increasingly milky white.

The talismans flowed like a babbling brook, converging and falling continuously. After an unknown amount of time, the leg bone transformed into a pen shaft.

“Now is the time! Toad!” Su He called out from the bottom of his heart, and the toad immediately activated the materials from other extreme lands within the inner world, throwing them one after another into the magma, continuously merging into the pen shaft.

As various materials merged, the color of the pen shaft gradually deepened, and a bulge formed at the lower end, which was the base of the pen, where the pen tip would be inserted.

It was time to shape it.

“Come!” Su He roared softly, and the Open Heaven Pen from Mount Tai broke through the air and entered the magma, merging into the still unformed pen shaft.

The toad leaped into the abyss below, scooped out the fur of the Greedy Wolf, returned to Su He’s side, and tremblingly handed over the wolf’s hair.

Su He gave it a strange look.

The toad was covered in ice, almost frozen through, but it eagerly watched the giant pen being Sacrifice and Refined, looking as if it was willing to sacrifice itself for Su He’s cause.

What a drama queen!

In the inner world, Su He was a god, omnipotent. The toad was no different from a god, and it could have easily taken out the wolf’s hair with a thought. Moreover, even the lowest temperature in his own inner world couldn’t freeze the toad.

An actor indeed!

The talismans Su He had prepared earlier fell onto the fur, and the wolf hairs detached one by one, flying towards the pen shaft.

Su He wondered, “I remember that the wolf’s hair in a brush isn’t actually from a wolf, right?”

The ice on the toad melted drop by drop, forming a puddle of water, and it said amusingly, “The Open Heaven Pen is made entirely of Divine Beast materials. Have you ever seen a weasel become a Divine Beast?”

Su He glanced at it. You, a toad, dare to look down on my Yellow Immortal?

While they were talking, the Open Heaven Pen in the magma had already begun to take shape, and more talismans fell, but they were no longer for shaping. Instead, they constructed a network of meridians and acupoints within it, similar to the meridians and acupoints of a human body.

Su He even heard the sound of a heart beating.

In the Fertile Great World, This Turtle looked down at Su He.

Since a few days ago, the power of the world had been surging around Su He in a regular pattern, along with the breath of many Divine Beasts flashing continuously.

Was this little guy Refining an Open Heaven artifact?

Completely Refining within the inner world? The aura of these talismans was clearly not from the Dragon Turtle’s Refining Artifact techniques. Dragon Turtle Refining was grand and forceful, not so meticulous and delicate. This was the method of human cultivators.

This Turtle sensed carefully. Was this method of extending the Dao from that Daoist Can Chen who had listened to his teachings?

An Open Heaven artifact Refining method specially designed for the Dragon Turtle, that Daoist really understood the Dragon Turtle well.

Su He owed a big favor. There were indeed many true Daoist friends in the Thousand Rivers.

This Turtle smiled, only to see Su He suddenly open his eyes, a long chant, and a brush pierced through his body, pointing towards the chaos behind him.

With one stroke, a piece of chaos rolled and exploded, turning into a newly born marsh.

The Open Heaven Pen floated in the air, its Open Heaven aura falling in waves, repelling the chaos. The Fertile Great World emitted a joyful aura, happy that another Divine Beast had opened up the chaos for it.

This Turtle laughed. The world was happy too soon. This little turtle was clearly more inclined to open up the chaos in the Mysterious Wasteland.

“Uncle Lei,” Su He looked up at This Turtle. This Turtle smiled and said, “Go ahead! If there’s anything, I’ll call you.”

As soon as the Open Heaven artifact was ready, Su He couldn’t wait to try it out in the chaos. He was also worried that the sneaky soaring snakes would disturb the cultivation of the two turtle uncles.

With This Turtle’s affirmation, Su He leaped into the chaos.

This Turtle watched him, only to see the chaos rolling, and a thunderclap pierced through the chaos. This Open Heaven artifact was extraordinary!

Not only was the design of the talisman by Daoist Can Chen excellent, but the spirit of the artifact was also special. Was this the Open Heaven artifact condensed from the Qian and Dui hexagrams?

Su He made a stroke, and the rolling chaos boiled and exploded, turning into a water domain.

The Open Heaven Pen had absorbed the Dao rhyme of the Dui hexagram. Without control, the chaos it opened would be dominated by water domains.

In this water domain world, a sense of indescribable comfort arose. The chaos opened by the Open Heaven Pen was most suitable for Su He, and it was the most primal water.

It made him even more immersed and reluctant to leave.

Su He tumbled and swam freely in the marsh water. The Open Heaven Pen was entwined by the spirit snake, bursting with a heaven-shattering aura, as if eager to break through the chaos in front of it.

Su He looked up, and the stars shone above his head—not meteorites in the starry sky, but the constellations of the four directions.

This piece of chaos was indeed different!

In this newly opened water domain, he was still in the chaos, but when he looked up, he could see the stars.

The chaos had weakened!

In his own opened water domain, he could still see the constellations. In other words, the constellations could shine through the chaos.

This chaos was a low-quality version, right?

In Su He’s mythological concept, opening up chaos was a method that only certain beings could master. But here, any Divine Beast that had opened the heavens could do it.

According to Su He’s idea, chaos, such a high-end thing, should be outside the entire world composed of three thousand great worlds and a hundred thousand small worlds.

Not that there was a piece of chaos outside every great world.

Su He floated in the marsh water, letting the marsh water wash over his body, looking at the Basalt constellation, and a sense of kinship emerged.

Observing the constellations in the chaos was completely different from observing them in the Long Moon Mansion. It was as if he was closer to the constellations.

An indescribable meaning rose in his heart. He wanted to grasp it but couldn’t.

It was maddening.

Insufficient foundation, unable to burst out the feelings brought by the constellations.

Su He looked at the starry sky, silently reciting the “Tao Te Ching” in his heart, trying to understand the stars with the Dao rhyme of morality. He carefully contemplated and immersed himself in it, but then suddenly woke up.

When immersed in morality, he would ignore everything else, forget everything, and even the constellations above his head would not be sensed.

This was wrong—at least for Su He at the moment, it was wrong. At this stage, he should focus on comprehending the Basalt constellation and strive to understand the Dao.

If he could observe the constellations and create a suitable technique, that would be even better.

Su He looked at the starry sky, no longer pondering the meaning contained in morality, not deluding himself with the great Dao contained within.

He simply recited it unconsciously. His gaze fell on the Basalt constellation again.

The hundreds of stars that made up the constellation seemed to come to life, roaming in the starry sky, with the turtle and snake entwined, their charm endless.

Su He watched quietly, not knowing how long it took before he slowly woke up.

Nothing gained!

He only saw the turtle and snake roaming, and besides that, he got nothing. However, that wonderful feeling grew stronger. But he just couldn’t grasp it.

But no matter what, this feeling proved that he was on the right path. The way of the Basalt was hidden in the starry sky above his head.

Su He exhaled, pointed with the Open Heaven Pen, and broke through the chaos to go outside.

I don’t know how long it had been, but the sneaky soaring snakes were almost completely annihilated. This Turtle looked down at the Stone Drum Altar, with talismans flickering in his eyes.

Sensing the turmoil in the chaos, he looked at Su He: “Had enough fun?”

Su He nodded. Looking at This Turtle, a thought suddenly flashed through his mind. He himself lacked foundation, and even with the support of morality, he had not figured out the reason.

If it were another Dragon Turtle, would they gain something?

The Dragon Turtle clan was his foundation, and the advancement of the Dragon Turtle was equivalent to his own advancement. Any technique of the Basalt that any Dragon Turtle comprehended would surely be open to him.

Su He looked up seriously and said, “Uncle Lei, can you seal this world?”

“Hmm?” This Turtle looked down, not understanding.

He saw Su He smiling lightly and said, “I have a Dao scripture that should not be passed on to anyone else, it’s best to even seal this world, from my mouth to your ear.”

This Turtle laughed heartily, the little turtle’s serious demeanor was quite appealing. Becoming a father really changed him, even a turtle became serious.

Although he was laughing, This Turtle still stomped down with a claw, a green lightning swept over, and Su He felt as if he and the entire world were isolated, with a layer of lightning film under his feet, surrounded by green light. The noise from outside the chaos disappeared in an instant.

The Xuan Realm, the soul beasts, could not be sensed at all. Indeed, the world was isolated.

“It’s done,” This Turtle said solemnly.

Su He nodded, opened his mouth, but the “Tao Te Ching” did not come out. A strange feeling arose, just like the things in the Suppressing Evil Dao Palace that couldn’t be spoken, the “Tao Te Ching” couldn’t be recited!

The reason he couldn’t speak about the Suppressing Evil Dao Palace was that something prevented him from leaking it. But the reason he couldn’t recite the “Tao Te Ching” was that the moment Su He opened his mouth, his mind went blank, and he couldn’t remember a single word of the “Tao Te Ching”.As if the Tao Te Ching itself was unwilling to be recited, unwilling to be spread!

Su He was astonished.

This was very Taoist, very much in line with the teachings of Taoism.

He licked his lips, his face grave as he looked towards the Orient Loong God. The Orient Loong God’s eyes narrowed slightly as he asked softly, “Can’t speak again?”

Previously, when Su He came out of the Demon-Suppressing Palace, he tried to tell him about the situation inside, but the power of a “contract” descended, rendering him speechless.

But this time, the Orient Loong God did not sense the power of the contract.

Su He nodded, licked his lips again, and tried once more, but his mind remained blank. The Tao Te Ching was clearly there, but he just couldn’t recall it.

Su He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and stopped trying to speak. Instead, he silently recited the Tao Te Ching in his heart. The first three passages of the Tao Te Ching were imprinted in his mind without a single word missing.

The Orient Loong God laughed. Su He must have obtained some secret, as he tried to speak twice and failed both times. What thing has come to restrict a member of my Dragon Turtle clan!

This time, after the collective seclusion of the Dragon Turtle clan was over, they gathered the clan members, forcibly broke into the Demon-Suppressing Palace, and he wanted to see what dared to be so mysterious!

There are countless strong beings in the myriad worlds, and not a few surpass the Orient Loong God, but none dare to play tricks in front of the ancient ancestors, the Tai Ancestors!

Even if the ancient powers were resurrected, they would have no choice but to bow their heads in front of the Tai Ancestors!

The Orient Loong God sneered in his heart, when suddenly a humming sound came from Su He’s body. It was like the evening drum and morning bell, not a sound from reality, but an existence of the Tao.

Inaudible, but it clearly existed!

Great sounds are silent, great forms are shapeless.

Immediately after, an inexplicable charm of the Tao emanated from Su He. It was neither words nor objects, just the simple charm of the great Tao, formless and indescribable.

Unlike the Buddhist scriptures that dazzle with splendor, this charm had not a single sign of heaven and earth, not even an illusion was produced, yet it made the Orient Loong God feel as if he had seen the foundation of the world.

The Orient Loong God’s breathing became rapid, panting audibly, but he quickly suppressed his own voice, even the sound of his heartbeat and blood flow, holding his breath and concentrating, staring intently at Su He.

Afraid to miss a single detail.

This charm of the Tao was too simple, and one could miss it if not careful.

The spirit snake on his back coiled and roamed, like water, like electricity. It was unclear whether it was slow or fast. As Su He silently recited the Tao Te Ching for nearly half the time, the Orient Loong God’s body was already flickering with silent lightning.

At this moment, countless insights arose, and the nascent Turtle-Snake True Method within him rapidly integrated and perfected.

The Orient Loong God’s momentum climbed higher and higher, explosive sounds came from within his body, like thunder, like waterfalls. His mountain-like body visibly shrank.

After silently reciting the three thousand words of the Tao Te Ching, Su He slowly opened his eyes, only to be shocked to find that the Orient Loong God’s body had shrunk by two sizes.

This shock was no small matter, fearing that silently reciting the Tao Te Ching had some terrifying effect on the Orient Loong God, he opened his mouth to sing out and inquire.

But he saw the Orient Loong God suddenly open his eyes, two flashes of lightning in his gaze, and he let out a long howl of laughter.

The laughter grew louder and louder, and gradually even the laughter could not express his joy.

Looking down at Su He, he nudged him with his head, pushing Su He up, tossing him into the air and catching him again, tossing and catching. Until the third toss, Su He stopped in mid-air above the rolling waves and did not fall.

The Orient Loong God nudged with his head, but found that Su He had not fallen, and immediately felt a sense of loss, but it was only for an instant before joy returned.

“A treasure!” he looked at Su He, his eyes shining.

“Was that what you were silently reciting just now, that Taoist scripture you mentioned?”

Su He nodded.

The Orient Loong God became even more joyful, laughing heartily for a long while before speaking again: “A treasure! It elucidates the ultimate principles of heaven and earth, clarifying the Tao of all things!”

After saying this, he immediately looked down at Su He with a serious face: “In front of outsiders, remember never to silently recite this scripture. Only around us, or in the Long Moon Mansion, or in your own small world, or in a place with no one in the chaos, can you silently recite and comprehend!”

Su He was still very reassured, knowing what kind of Taoist scripture he had obtained, and knowing to seal heaven and earth before silently reciting it.

This scripture was marvelous; just the charm of the Tao that Su He silently recited brought him extraordinary gains, like obtaining a treasure. If it were any other being, they would not be able to resist. Even at the risk of being hunted down by the Dragon Turtle clan, they would want to devour and merge with Su He!

The small world was where Su He underwent Tribulation Crossing to achieve the Dragon Turtle realm, which was already special. He was not afraid of the charm of the Tao spreading out, and the Long Moon Mansion was also not simple, extremely special. He could break through the Long Moon Mansion and teleport across space, not because the space of the Long Moon Mansion was easy to break, but because the Long Moon Mansion was cooperating with him!

That place must have once been the Cave Mansion of some powerful being.

“This scripture, you may often silently recite it. Over time, you will surely gain a lot. When reciting, you can bring Ya Ya and Fairy Su with you. Their realms are still low, and they will not be able to bear the charm of this scripture and may fall asleep, but it doesn’t matter. Even if they sleep, being enveloped by such a charm of the Tao is also of great benefit.”

It’s a pity that the charm of the Tao is not the scripture itself. Only the first comprehension has the best effect. The effect will be greatly reduced if sensed again later.

“Remember! The importance of this scripture is even greater than that of the Heng Gua! It must not be shown lightly.”

Su He nodded.

Judging from the attitude of the Yuan Sovereign clan towards his corpse in his previous life, how could he possibly reveal it if he wasn’t a Dragon Turtle?

The Orient Loong God nodded: “You go back. There is nothing more here. Go back and cultivate well. You have too many treasures on you, and your realm is too low. Any one of them, if leaked, is a path to death.”

Heng Gua, Copying Twins, Divine Beast Transformation, Taoist scriptures…

Thinking of this, the Orient Loong God even wanted to kill for the treasure! What kind of fortune was this, to be able to gather such treasures? Compared to these, even the Bright Mirror was worthless.

Suddenly, a sense of crisis inexplicably came over him, and Su He shrank his neck, moving a few steps closer to the Orient Loong God. The closer he got, the more dangerous he felt, and Su He inexplicably looked towards the Orient Loong God.

Just now, after silently reciting the Taoist scripture, Su He’s perception was sharp to an indescribable degree. If he could understand a fraction of the Tao Te Ching, he might have the ability to “predict the truth” like Ya Ya. He could have sensed future events long ago.

The Orient Loong God smiled and shook his head, and Su He’s sense of crisis disappeared in an instant.

The Orient Loong God flipped his front paw, and a figure was thrown to Su He, who else could it be but Feng Yin?

“Originally, I didn’t want to bully the small with the big, just wanted to let Fairy Ji erase his memory and throw him back. But now, I have no choice but to kill him.” The matter of Su He’s Taoist scripture must not be leaked!

With a light shake of the Orient Loong God’s paw, the unconscious Feng Yin instantly lost his breath.

“This matter, remember it’s on your head!” The Orient Loong God said seriously to Su He.

A question mark popped up above Su He’s head.

The Orient Loong God didn’t look at him. He, the Orient Loong God of the Dragon Turtle clan, how could he bear the reputation of bullying the small?

Dragon Turtles, need face!

The one who killed Feng Yin was Su He, even if the Heavenly King came, it was Su He’s doing! A mighty Dragon Turtle, with the blessing of chaos, hunting down a Traverse Heaven fourth realm… still a bit far-fetched!

He looked at Su He and said seriously, “Go back and cultivate well. The sky can open later, but your combat power must be raised.”

Su He didn’t understand and just nodded dumbly.

“Go on, go on! I will guard this place next, waiting for Huai Zhu to break out of his shell.” He waved his paw and opened a spatial passage, and on the other side of the passage was the Long Moon Mansion.

Su He didn’t rush to step in, but curiously asked, “Will the uncles and ancestors break out of their shells at the same time next?” It’s not impressive for the elders to go out and make a name for themselves.

The Orient Loong God laughed: “How could that be? The higher the cultivation level, the more the essence of the Teng Snake is integrated, and naturally, the slower the shell breaks!”

By age, it should be Luo who breaks out of the shell next, but that guy Luo is not right, his fortune is too good, every time he can find all kinds of opportunities. He piled up his cultivation level higher than Zhu and Huai.

The Orient Loong God chuckled, then saw Su He looking at him weirdly, that look clearly speaking: the higher the cultivation level, the slower the shell breaks…

“Get lost!” The Orient Loong God roared: “I have already merged with the Teng Snake once before the Seven Extremes Secret Realm, what’s wrong with breaking out of the shell early?!”

Being looked at by Su He made him explode, the Orient Loong God slapped out with a paw, sending Su He into the transmission passage, and then waved his paw to smooth out the spatial rift.

Huff—

Inhale—

So angry! Among the four peers, he was the youngest, wasn’t it natural for him to break out of the shell first?

Panting for a while, the Orient Loong God gradually calmed down.

He waved his paw to remove the shielding of heaven and earth, put away the Stone Drum Altar, and looked at the chaos at the north and south poles of the abundant divine world, the Orient Loong God’s expression darkened again.

Stepping forward, talismans and formations slowly merged into the abundant divine world.

Some time ago, right after breaking out of the shell, he made a big fuss in the Feng Emperor Palace. He also suppressed Feng Bu Si here. The outside world’s probes should be coming.

The Four Spirits are always the focus of monitoring by the major forces.

Su He has been active outside these years, and the spirit snake on his back naturally cannot be hidden. He broke out of the shell and went to the Feng Emperor Palace for a battle, and the spirit snake also revealed itself—actually, on the day of the Seven Extremes Secret Realm, the spirit snake was not hidden.

The Orient Loong God of Xuan Tian Gate, the head teacher Yin Yuan, all knew.

A Dragon Turtle condensed a spirit snake, perhaps practicing some special method. Both he and Su He condensed it, and it would inevitably be considered that the Dragon Turtle clan had created some new Divine Ability.

Investigation is a must!

If people knew that the Dragon Turtle clan was advancing by borrowing the Teng Snake, there would be more trouble.

Other Dragon Turtles had not broken out of seclusion, and he alone faced the myriad worlds, the pressure was quite big! Especially after a few battles after breaking out of the shell, when the Hakutaku list was updated, the troubles that should come will come.

Not only here, but Su He’s place is the same. But the old Dragon Turtles are still there, and those who probe Su He are mostly beings of the same combat power, and they won’t exceed too much.

But the number won’t be small, and at a young age, he has to bear the pressure that he shouldn’t have—great!

He can make a name for himself. Back then, he climbed up step by step, and it took him more than a hundred thousand years to kill into the top ranks of the Hakutaku list.

After this probe, how many places will the Hakutaku list advance?

The Orient Loong God set up formations one by one, waiting for the enemy to come.

In the chaos of some great world, a Divine Beast opened up chaos here, forming an independent world, and a red tower stood tall, its spire already reaching into the chaos.

Around the red tower, special creatures suddenly appeared and disappeared, each holding a thick stack of jade slips, coming and going in a hurry.

The plaque on the door of the red tower shone with the three characters “Hakutaku Tower.”

Below the Hakutaku Tower, the Divine Beast Hakutaku lay miserably on a piece of bluestone. It was covered in wounds, one leg was broken, fixed with a splint, and wrapped with a sling. Its body was even more pitiful, even the horns on its head were broken.

A scroll floated listlessly beside it, like a frostbitten eggplant.

Hakutaku had a face of misery, but at this moment, the chaos churned, and a red figure broke through the chaos and walked in.

Hakutaku looked up, and suddenly jumped up with a shock, running away while shouting loudly: “Ji Fei Xue! I tell you, it’s impossible! Hakutaku will not manipulate the Hakutaku list, you can kill me but it’s impossible!”

It fled quickly, but its mouth was full of righteousness, with an uncompromising look.

Ji Fei Xue’s eyes lit up, and her interest was immediately piqued: “Good! I’ve never killed a Hakutaku before, just right to taste the flesh and blood of a Hakutaku!”

Hakutaku’s gaunt tiger face changed, and while escaping, it pleaded regretfully: “Princess, princess! Spare my life, the grievances you had with the previous generation of Hakutaku have nothing to do with me! The Hakutaku list really can’t be changed, its true function, you probably know, it’s really not under my control!”

Madwoman! She’s a madwoman! Knowing that it can’t change the Hakutaku list, she still beats him every time she sees him, forcing him to change the list. This time she even chased him home, is there no law?

Ji Fei Xue looked at the panicked Hakutaku, covered her mouth and chuckled: “Okay! Don’t change the Hakutaku list, I’ll ask you something, you answer me truthfully and I’ll spare you.”

Hakutaku’s eyes brightened: “You ask! Whatever the princess asks, Hakutaku will tell all, without holding back!”

I like your awareness of current affairs, it’s a pity that Divine Beasts can’t be kept as pets, this tiger-like, deer-like appearance, Ji Fei Xue actually wanted to keep one.

She stopped, looked at Hakutaku, and asked with a light laugh: “Let me ask you, before Bai Ling entered extinction, did she master the power of time? Hakutaku Tower, which floor did she reach? Did she condense a human form?”

Hakutaku was stunned. He had considered that this person might ask some secrets that Hakutaku does not pass on, but he didn’t expect such a sky-breaking question! Which of these questions can be answered?

Hakutaku looked miserable, cautiously looking at Ji Fei Xue: “How about, princess, we discuss changing the battle list instead?” It twisted awkwardly, embarrassedly said: “You know, I’m different from the previous generation of Hakutaku, I’m more flexible with the rules.”

If really needed, the Hakutaku list is not impossible to change slightly, just a little bit!

Ji Fei Xue was very easy to talk to, smiling charmingly: “Okay! Hide all the dragon members on the Hakutaku list—only count the true dragons, the others don’t need to, I won’t make it difficult for you.”

Hakutaku: “……”

It sighed: “How about we discuss the possibility of suppressing me instead?”Compared to removing all the true dragon titles from the Hakutaku list, it found the idea of entering oblivion to be simpler. At worst, it would die and leave its memories to the next generation of Hakutaku. “I’m done playing; let the mess be passed on to the next generation”—isn’t that how Hakutaku has always been? Not a single one has ever been responsible through the generations!

Ji Feixue narrowed her eyes at it. The bells on her ankles chimed without any breeze, captivating the soul with their tinkling sound.

Hakutaku stopped running, halted in its tracks, and let out a soft sigh, “Princess, you know I can’t do that! Make a practical request, do you want money or treasures?”

Ji Feixue smiled lightly, her eyes slanting playfully as she looked at it, “Fine! The ranking of the Dragon Turtle clan will be postponed for now.”

Hakutaku stomped its foot. Was this any different from the previous request? Just as it was about to speak, it caught Ji Feixue’s gaze and suddenly felt a tightness in its heart, as if it was being grasped by this enchantress.

Ji Feixue chuckled, her laughter authoritative despite its lightness, “It’s just a temporary postponement, slowing down the updates. If you still can’t manage that, then we can indeed discuss the matter of suppressing Hakutaku.”

Hakutaku bowed its head, silent for a long while before looking up earnestly at Ji Feixue, “It’s too much, I can’t handle the Nine-Headed Dragon Turtles!”

The Hakutaku list was not something to be manipulated at will.

Ji Feixue spoke softly, “I have three quotas, Bai Ling has three quotas, and you, having just been reborn, should also have three quotas. That’s just right.”

Once removed from the Hakutaku list, there would be three temporary quotas to influence the list. Both she and Bai Ling had three, none of which had been used.

Hakutaku fell silent again, then shook its head after a moment, “I have one quota, and it has already been used.”

Ji Feixue glanced at it. Hakutaku did not seem to be lying, and she spoke softly, “Then there’s no need to postpone for Ya Ya for the time being. She’s not on the list yet, and you don’t need to worry about her.”

Hakutaku nodded with difficulty, a burst of light flashing over its head as its broken horn restored to normal. It bowed toward the scroll beside it, and the scroll unfurled.

Various figures from the myriad worlds and powerful beings flashed across it. Each time a figure appeared, a portrait and comprehensive information followed.

Hakutaku chanted softly, and the figures on the scroll changed, finally coming to a stop.

Depicted was an exquisitely detailed Thunder-Attributed Dragon Turtle, none other than Qing Lei.

Detailed information was written beside it. However, the information was divided into two parts: the left side detailed Qing Lei’s numerous battle situations, against Divine Beasts, the Seal Emperor’s Palace, including the recent suppression of Seal Bu Si and the slaying of Seal Yin, all meticulously recorded.

After each battle, there were annotations on how the combat power was and how the ranking should be adjusted.

The right side, however, was greyed out, recording Qing Lei’s secrets.

Talent: Thunder Rebirth, capable of being reborn amidst thunder.

This most powerful ability was not factored into the ranking.

Hakutaku looked up at Ji Feixue, “Only those with special permission can see the main Hakutaku list. You should know that the Hakutaku list only considers certain abilities for ranking. The secrets on the right side are not normally included in the ranking, but to hide this information, all details must be suppressed within the main list, preventing the lists in everyone’s hands from updating. The cost of doing so is immeasurable…”

Its voice trailed off towards the end.
