Chapter 31 – Second body

"Alright!" The toad agreed with a grunt and withdrew.

Su He looked once more at the Dust-Free Cover that trapped him, his Divine Sense and a thread of True Blood slowly infiltrating the iron chain net ahead.

The moment the True Blood entered the net, it was absorbed, and even the Divine Sense was no exception.

Marvelous!

Su He released another thread of True Blood, slightly more than before, and as it entered the iron net, it was immediately absorbed.

The Dust-Free Cover grew faintly stronger.

Magical!

It was somewhat similar to his own Negative Mountain ability.

Su He nudged his head against the iron lock of the Dust-Free Cover, his nascent dragon horns touching the lock as he carefully perceived.

Perhaps because the roots of the dragon horns were connected to the sea of consciousness, and even the barriers of the Sense Realm were composed of these roots, the Dragon Turtle's horns were the most sensitive organs.

Unfortunately, Su He was still young, and his dragon horns had not fully grown, their true functions yet to awaken.

With his horns pressing against it, a thread of True Blood flowed along the horns into the Dust-Free Cover. This time, Su He didn't release it in bursts but like a gentle stream, evenly penetrating and observing how the Dust-Free Cover absorbed the True Blood.

As the True Blood flowed in, the Dust-Free Cover's absorption continued, pulsating like a heartbeat. With each pulse, a faint aura was revealed.

Inside the Dust-Free Cover, Su He couldn't understand most of the rules. But regarding space, aura, sealing… and other aspects, he was able to unravel a train of thought.

With the help of the Barbarian King's Refinement of Realms and feedback from the Qian River amusement park.

The information wasn't much, but it was enough for Su He to understand what the Dust-Free Cover was.

Teng Snake had underestimated it; Fenghuang Palace wasn't just targeting the Dragon Turtle or the Four Spirits. It was against all enemies!

Within the Dust-Free Cover, Su He could feel his own aura, Teng Snake's aura, and even the aura of the treasures on his body.

The moment the Dust-Free Cover landed and formed an enclosure, it collected all the auras within. These auras, once gathered in the Dust-Free Cover, would become its nourishment when attacked by the same aura.

If Su Huanian hadn't previously fought and revealed her aura here, her sword qi wouldn't be absorbed by the Dust-Free Cover. She could have broken it from the outside.

Or let the camel and toad come over; theoretically, they could break the Dust-Free Cover too. But given their attack power, it would take much longer—three to five hundred years at least.

The material of the Dust-Free Cover itself was sturdy enough to make a special defensive treasure.

To break the Dust-Free Cover, Su He could only think of two methods: either have a Daoist friend whose aura wasn't recorded by the Dust-Free Cover break it from the outside.

Or he himself would have to make a leap in advancement, like opening a second layer of heaven. If the properties of his True Blood changed, or if the Spirit Snake on his back fully condensed, revealing a different aura, he could forcibly break through.

He could also discard his cultivation and start over with a completely different type of True Blood—this was not an option for Divine Beasts, whose True Blood was produced in the moment of Tribulation Crossing, in conjunction with the essence of their bodies and the world pearls.

There was no possibility of discarding cultivation; even shattering the world pearl was useless, as Uncle Lei's world pearl shattered and merged with his body without affecting his cultivation.

Unless he cut off the limbs of a Divine Beast and destroyed its body. That wasn't discarding cultivation; that was discarding the Divine Beast.

If he mastered puppetry, he could create a special puppet here with a brand new aura, which might be able to break the Dust-Free Cover.

But Su He didn't understand that.

Actually, the most reliable method was to use the newly acquired Underworld to summon ghosts. But since the Underworld had just entered his body and was still merging, Su He estimated it would take at least two or three months.

Two or three months, and the opportunity would be long gone.

After gathering, the Dust-Free Cover no longer collected new auras. Why this was so, Su He did not yet know; the knowledge used in the Dust-Free Cover was too complex for him to understand.

But it seemed the fastest way was to wait for someone to break it open.

If his master were here, he could break out, as the Subdue Demons section's human and beast forms had completely different auras. The Dust-Free Cover could only record the true form revealed at the time of closing. Changing to a different body would break it.

Unfortunately, Divine Beasts couldn't cultivate the Subdue Demons section. Otherwise, having a second or even a third body would make it easy to deal with various situations. After all, the Divine Abilities of Divine Beasts were thoroughly studied by many and easily targeted…

Thinking of this, Su He suddenly froze.

An incredible idea rose in his heart. Setting aside the orthodox Subdue Demons section, the version Uncle Lei modified for Yaya, which followed the bloodline path…

There were two prerequisites: one was to undergo the transformation into a beast in consciousness, and then to survive the Lost Tribulation. The second was to refine the essence blood of beast species in the bronze pot, allowing it to perfectly merge with one's own.

Su Huanian had once misunderstood, thinking she had stolen the opportunity of a certain Dragon Turtle to transform. In fact, the bronze pot was fragile and could only refine the essence blood of ordinary beasts.

And the essence blood of ordinary beasts could never perfectly integrate into the body of a Dragon Turtle. Divine Beasts were proud, and this was reflected in their uniqueness; their bodies would not allow the essence blood of a wild beast to merge with them. As soon as the essence blood entered the body, it would be immediately crushed by the True Blood army into dust.

But…

Su He took out a drop of Peacock essence blood from the external space. The Peacock was a sub-branch of the Phoenix clan, one level below the Dragon Turtle, but when he obtained this drop of blood, the dice had rolled four points of quality.

And items enhanced in quality by the dice could be perfectly absorbed by Su He. This was already confirmed.

Even when he was a grass turtle, eating quality items was like a Brave Troops, only taking in and never letting out.

Su He's breathing became rough. He had passed the Lost Tribulation of consciousness transformation, and he had a drop of Peacock essence blood that could be completely integrated.

He also had all the necessary formation materials for transformation.

Su Huanian had prepared them for Yaya long ago. When she took Yaya into the external space, she naturally took the formation as well.

With everything ready, could he now condense a second body?

For a moment, Su He was somewhat dazed; he had never considered this possibility. Perhaps due to a fixed mindset, he had always believed that Divine Beasts could not walk the path of transformation and had never thought about it.

This was the first time.

The Dragon Turtle condensing a second body, such a significant event, should be discussed with the elders of the clan. Su He didn't rush to decide.

He contacted the toad in his heart.

"Have the Kylin or Phoenix clan elders arrived?"

The toad's anxious voice came through: "Not yet, Meng Xuan has gone to find Qing Cang, and Qing Cang will find a way to contact the two clans. He is the main priest of the Dragon God Sacrifice this time, and only he can do it."

The specifics of the Dragon God Sacrifice were confidential, and even the closest Dragon Turtle clan didn't fully understand.

Su He narrowed his eyes, took a deep breath, and calculated that in one more day, Qian Qianzi should be able to come. With Qian Qianzi's cultivation level, breaking the Dust-Free Cover wouldn't be difficult.

"Where's Yaya?" Su He asked in a deep voice.

The toad was silent for a moment, then sent a request for visual synchronization. Normally, the soul beast and its master could synchronize their vision anytime, anywhere, but Su He and the toad both disliked such a lack of privacy and had sealed many functions. To temporarily activate it, both parties had to agree.

Su He opened his eyes, and his perspective had changed to that of the toad.

On the Flying Boat, Feng Yaya sat curled up on the deck, her face pale, surrounded by flashing lightning. A phantom lightning figure appeared behind her, her origin energy condensing. From time to time, a bolt of lightning was pulled out and disappeared.

Su Huanian's expression was unreadable, but she placed her hand on the Flying Boat's helm, her True Blood surging out, pushing the Flying Boat to its highest speed.

The camel crouched to one side, tapping its hooves, grinding its teeth, and glancing around as if looking for the thief who had taken Feng Yaya's origin energy to bite to death.

Su He pondered for a moment and transmitted to Su Huanian: "Sister, use thunder magic around Yaya to blast open. Even if Feng Yiju is not here, his backup must be! Blast it out, destroy it!"

Feng Yiju had the means to steal Feng Yaya's origin energy from afar, so why didn't he use it until he had trapped Su He?

There was only one possibility: a free Su He could easily find him and interrupt the stealing process.

Although Su He was confident, the only one who could find a hidden enemy was Chaotic Blade. And Chaotic Blade had a limited range; Feng Yiju's means must be nearby!

Feng Yaya was now invulnerable, but the Little Girl was not afraid of lightning.

Su Huanian turned back and pointed a sword at Yaya's head. Instead of sword qi, a thunder pool appeared—she didn't use thunder magic but directly blasted open a thunder pool.

With a thunderous explosion, lightning bolts shot in all directions, attacking chaotically. The toad was dumbfounded and instantly entered a state of being both tangible and intangible.

Green Snake had a crescent moon appear above her head, protecting her whole body. Only the camel was struck by a bolt of lightning, turning pitch black with smoke coming from its mouth and nose, collapsing onto the deck.

The lightning scattered, and with a loud explosion in mid-air, a figure appeared next to it. On a Fairy Sword, Feng Yiju, dressed as a scholar, held a pill furnace the size of a watermelon in one hand. Inside the furnace, streaks of lightning were Feng Yaya's origin energy.

Feng Yiju appeared, looked around, shook his head with a wry smile: "Madam's thunder magic is indeed powerful, even breaking through such a hidden spell. But why bother?"

He looked at Su Huanian: "Originally, extracting Yaya's origin energy would have been fine. I know you have a way to make her transform. I extract the origin energy, Yaya transforms as soon as possible. By finding me out, we can't avoid a fight, delaying Yaya's transformation, but why bother?"

Before Su Huanian could speak, the toad was already jumping madly: "You old bastard, who are you calling madam! Who's your madam! Shameless, ignorant, worse than a beast, do you even qualify?" It cursed while panting heavily.

Using the toad's vision, Su He had already seen that Feng Yiju, now that he had appeared, no longer hid. His world of caves opened, and three monks emerged with palms together.

They all had the aura of Traverse Heaven. Su Huanian slowly drew her Fairy Sword and looked at the four people, the sword humming continuously.

Su He transmitted: "Sister, don't stop the Flying Boat, enter Yunmeng Marsh at the fastest speed, block Feng Yiju, and try to destroy the pill furnace. I'll be there shortly."

Inside the Dust-Free Cover, Su He opened his eyes, looking at the things laid out on the ground, no longer hesitating.

Feng Yiju probably used a splitting technique, half being played by the Xuantian Sect Leader, and half here.

He had previously opened his world of caves, and Su He saw it clearly, with pavilions and towers inside, and not just three monks living there!

Su He's mind moved, and the transformation formation immediately floated up and revolved around him, each formation node like a star twinkling with starlight, reflecting off the acupoints within Su He's body.

The Peacock essence blood floated above his head.

Su He softly apologized: "Predecessor, Su He has broken his promise, not finding a suitable Peacock inheritance for you. Today, I must borrow your essence blood to transform. I hope you can forgive me!"
