Chapter 24 – Do you want to live together?

The sand blade struck Su He, but it shattered without leaving a mark on him.

The majestic aura of the Dragon Turtle pressed down, and the three camels opposite couldn't even resist; they were pinned to the ground by the sand-transformed land, which returned to its original state after being washed over by the waves.

Exotic beasts couldn't possibly understand the concept of domains; they relied on their Mysterious Moon to forcibly change the geography. If left unaddressed, the land would truly turn into a desert over time. At this moment, Su He's water waves dispersed the camel's power, and the land was restored.

Da Zhuang stared, dumbfounded, at the Ink Jade Dragon Turtle blocking in front of him. By the sound of it, this was indeed his turtle, but it had grown significantly larger and its aura was as vast as the ocean, standing there like a mountain, protecting him behind it.

A sense of safety immediately surged within him.

There was a time when this little turtle needed his methods for revenge and his care, watching the Dragon Turtle awaken from hibernation and master Divine Abilities step by step… Time flies so fast—what a joke!

It had only been a year.

Da Zhuang's entire camel self was not well.

Although it was just an exotic beast, it vaguely felt that Su He's progression was too fast. It hadn't even fully stabilized its second Mysterious Moon, and this turtle had ascended to the heavens?

However, this thought was quickly dismissed from its mind.

Who cares! The point is: it was saved!

These three camels had been chasing it for nearly a month, with no way to escape to the heavens or the earth, nearly dying at their hands several times, surrounded by dangers. If not for the many treasures left by the Old Taoist, its grave would have been three feet tall by now.

No, that's not right; camels wouldn't have graves. It would have been eaten by countless wild beasts.

As a second Mysterious Moon exotic beast, its corpse was fatally attractive to other wild animals.

Da Zhuang stepped out from behind Su He, looking at the three camels subdued by the Dragon Turtle's aura, lying on the ground with terrified eyes, and felt an immense sense of satisfaction. It let out a triumphant neigh, stood upright, and started hopping around joyfully.

The neigh was filled with a cheerful tone.

Come hit me~

Come hit me~

If you dare, jump up and hit me again! Chase me for another month! Steal my female camels! Steal my territory, my spiritual fruits, kill my little camels…

In the midst of its joyful hopping, Da Zhuang's mood dipped, and after a moment of silence, it charged furiously, stomping hoof after hoof onto the four-star camel, not using any skills, just brute force to vent its anger.

The violent stomping tore open its own wounds, blood gushing out, but Da Zhuang seemed not to feel the pain, just wailing and venting.

Su He offered no comfort, although he didn't know what Da Zhuang had been through, he could guess from its cries that the camel had had a rich experience during this time.

Su He released his aura, exerting some of his domain power to keep the three camels pinned to the ground, allowing Da Zhuang to vent.

The three camels couldn't move, only watching Da Zhuang in terror, struggling in vain, unable to use any skills.

In Su He's domain, these mere fourth Mysterious Moon exotic beasts had no chance of resistance.

Only able to pant in fear, which only fueled Da Zhuang's anger, making it stomp even harder.

Da Zhuang wailed and roared until the Golden Crow set and the stars filled the sky. Only then did it lower its head, with a subdued mood, and walked to the side, staring blankly at the waning moon in the sky.

A wave of sadness spread, and the camel's second Mysterious Moon on its forehead solidified completely, emitting a faint glow.

A stream of water flowed over the camel, washing away the blood. Su He broke an Elixir and sprinkled it on the camel.

He sat with it from dark until dawn, as the stars faded and the sun began to rise. Da Zhuang shivered and jumped up.

"Panting, panting~"

It was healed. Although there was still sadness in its eyes, it seemed as if with the sunrise, things had passed.

It boldly knocked against Su He's turtle shell, looking at the Spiritual Snake on his back with curiosity.

Su He softly called out and summoned the Flying Boat. The water swept up Da Zhuang along with the three deformed exotic beasts on the ground, and they boarded the Flying Boat, flying towards the small world.

The camel ran carelessly on the Flying Boat, as if discovering a new toy, only occasionally looking towards the northwest, staring blankly.

"Is your tribe there? If you have any issues, tell me, I'll help you if you need to fight!" Su He said to the camel.

Da Zhuang's eyes suddenly brightened, then dimmed again. It panted and said a lot, but Su He couldn't fully understand.

Even with high Spiritual Intelligence, Da Zhuang was just an exotic beast, at best with the intellect of a seven or eight-year-old child, unable to clearly express many things.

Su He could only vaguely make out that it was probably too late.

The tribe was likely gone.

Su He was silent for a moment: "What about Master?"

Old Taoist Ge wasn't in Dongyun and didn't seem to be with Da Zhuang, otherwise, Da Zhuang wouldn't have ended up so miserable.

The camel tilted its head and thought for a long time: "Panting, panting~"

He left, stealing chickens, not taking me with him, and he even hit me!

Su He: "…"

He didn't know what Old Taoist Ge was up to. After the battle at Qingyuan, Su He entered the Bailings small world, and he didn't participate in the affairs of the two realms' battlefield.

When he came out, he had almost destroyed the two realms' battlefield, and Old Taoist Ge's aura wasn't in the Subdue Demons battlefield; he had never gone in.

"Did Master leave any instructions?"

The camel tilted its head and thought for a moment, nodded, then shook its head: "Panting!"

Su He understood that the Old Taoist first gave the camel a jade slip but then took it back. Then he lectured the camel, but the camel couldn't understand and couldn't relay it.

Not a single reliable one.

As the Flying Boat flew towards the small world, Su He called out in his heart, summoning the toad to join him in entering the inheritance sea. In the right eye's technique inheritance, he found "Retrospection." This was the method the Dragon Turtles used to recall memories and form projections outside.

The camel's memory was still there; retracing the memories would naturally clarify everything.

Retrospection wasn't a Divine Ability, just a technique. To turn it into a Divine Ability, it needed to be cultivated diligently, condensing a Divine Ability seed.

If he could perfect it, it could even become an inheritance Divine Ability, branded in the inheritance Dragon Turtle's left eye. Future little Dragon Turtles could directly inherit the Divine Ability.

Su He pulled down a fire technique, and the toad pulled down Retrospection.

The dice landed, showing two dots.

After a brief attempt, it was a pity that it was only a ×2 cultivation speed, not power.

Opening his eyes, the Flying Boat had already reached the small world's sky. The toad was staring at the camel, which looked back in terror, unable to comprehend how such a large toad could go in and out of the Dragon Turtle's forehead.

The camel twisted its ears and covered its forehead, fearing the toad would come any closer.

The toad, however, looked at the camel with bright eyes.

An exotic beast! Second Mysterious Moon! It seemed to have high Spiritual Intelligence. If it joined their Hundreds of Beasts nation, it would command the highest combat power. It wasn't impossible for it to rebel and ascend to the throne!

The Flying Boat landed and retracted into the external space, with Su He climbing towards the small world first, and the toad gesturing to the camel: "Come on, let Frog Lord show you around."

The camel instinctively retreated two steps, distancing itself from the toad and walking on the other side of Su He.

After not returning for half a year, the small world had changed drastically. Mountains and oceans, with wind blowing. When Su He left, this world was silent, without any air circulation.

The only air was stolen from the Bailings small world.

The merfolk hadn't been lazy.

Seeing Su He return, the merfolk immediately put down their work and bowed from afar. The priest Dragon Min and the chief brought over Chounu and Yuzhu.

After a series of formalities, Su He finally entered the Bailings small world.

Upon entering, he saw Feng Yaya fighting an exotic beast, wielding a tree branch and fiercely whipping a leopard.

"You bit me! You bit me! I've only been morphed into a demon for half a year, and I died again!"

Feng Yaya was so angry she was jumping.

Originally, the Black Ape was killed by a leopard, and after becoming the White Ape, it was killed by a leopard again. What was infuriating was that after morphing into a demon and consuming an Elixir, all memories were lost, and there was no combat consciousness, only the instincts of a little White Ape.

It couldn't even run away when attacked by the leopard.

Su Huanian and Green Snake both looked troubled. It was impossible to eliminate all enemies, and without enemies, the morphed demon couldn't succeed. This leopard had only injured the little White Ape slightly, not fatally, but the little White Ape died nonetheless.

Feng Yaya's time was limited, and a year had been wasted without completing even the first step of morphing into a demon. There were still many steps to follow.

The prospects were not optimistic.

Hearing the noise behind them, everyone turned around.

Feng Yaya exclaimed with joy: "Big Turtle!" After calling out, she immediately felt aggrieved, dragging the leopard to Su He's side: "It bit me!"

Su He's expression darkened; Yaya had failed at morphing into a demon and was hunted down midway.

He exhaled a breath, freezing the leopard in ice. He comforted Feng Yaya: "It's okay, I brought you a treasure."

From his external space, two large clumps of  Stone Milk floated out.

Originally one clump, Su He had split it. Half had been refined to remove the dragon energy, pure Stone Milk that could delay the dissipation of the source and extend Feng Yaya's life.

The other half hadn't been completely refined before being interrupted by the Flame Crow, and after waking up, the quality of that half of the stone milk had greatly diminished.

Su He had been worried that there wouldn't be enough stone milk. After recuperating in Yunmeng Marsh for half a month, Su He was robbed by a two-star water beast, but when he robbed it back, he had more.

Su Huanian looked at the two clumps of stone milk, her starry eyes flickering, her body trembling slightly, murmuring: " Stone Milk…"

She had seen this substance before, appearing once at a Tianxing Palace auction, just a drop sold for a sky-high price.

That was just a drop, but the Dragon Turtle brought back clumps, more than a hundred times more.

She looked at Su He, stars dancing in her eyes.

Su He chuckled: "Mix it with pine oil and cypress resin for Yaya to consume and refine. The excess can be used for a medicinal bath to see if it's effective."

Su Huanian fell silent, bowed slightly, and after a moment, she raised her head and smiled: "Thank you!"

Su He chuckled, watching Su Huanian.

Su Huanian's aura was unstable. Su He frowned: "Injured?" In this small world, who could injure Su Huanian?

Su Huanian shook her head: "Not at all!"

She had just forcibly accessed memories of her past life, causing her aura to become unstable. However, she gained a lot, and although she didn't get a new method to treat the source, she obtained many memories related to Divine Beasts opening the heavens.

She knew the Dragon Turtle's progress; the Dao foundation was stable, and the heavenly artifact was half condensed, not far from opening the heavens, perhaps within a thousand years.

The timing of the memories was just right.

She looked at Su He, then after a moment, her brows furrowed slightly. The Dragon Turtle's aura was vast, with the power of the world circulating around it.

"Have you opened the heavens?" Su Huanian's usually cold expression showed a trace of emotion.

Su He nodded.

An accident! Normally, opening the heavens couldn't be so fast. The path of cultivation wasn't about speed; especially for beings like Dragon Turtles with endless lifespans, it was better to take each step solidly, even if it took ten or a hundred times longer.

She reached out her delicate hand, touching Su He's head, and a thought probed inside. Su He didn't resist, guiding her thoughts into the world bead and into the inner world.

Su Huanian looked around and saw the Dragon Turtle's inner world was vast, with mountains, rivers, plains, and deserts. Although fragile, the foundation was solid.

"Divine Beasts opening the heavens still have lichen?" Looking outward, seeing the membrane outside the inner world, she sounded surprised.

"No!" Su He shook his head: "I'm special."

The word "special" in cultivation was almost derogatory. Out of tens of thousands of special cases, hardly one was in a good direction.

"Can it be recovered?"

Su He chuckled: "Don't worry, it's not bad. It was Bailings' doing."

Bailings was his clan sister, Su Huanian nodded, her thoughts leaving Su He's body, and she softly said: "In cultivation, don't rely on others. It's better to take each step and walk it yourself."

Cultivation was like building a house; even if you use someone else's foundation, it's not as good as building it brick by brick yourself.

"Thank you for the reminder, senior sister." Su He nodded in thanks.

Su Huanian shook her head: "You have your own ideas, don't be influenced by me." She extended her slender finger and gently tapped Su He's forehead.

A thought merged, memories from her past life about Divine Beasts opening the heavens.

The Dragon Turtles had their own clan, naturally not lacking such teachings, but an outsider's perspective was clear. Observing Divine Beasts from the standpoint of an Immortal Sovereign could serve as a lesson from others' experiences.

Beside them, Feng Yaya had already seen the camel and ran over happily, not waiting for the toad to introduce, hugging the camel's neck and jumping: "Da Zhuang! Da Zhuang! Long time no see, did you miss me?"

The camel hopped around her.

Feng Yaya touched the camel and pointed around: "Look, Da Zhuang! This world, mine! Here you don't have to steal wine, if you want to drink, I'll specifically assign monkeys to brew it for you!"

The camel's eyes widened with surprise.

The atmosphere immediately became cheerful.

Only in the distance, the toad, after staring dumbfounded, squatted in the corner drawing circles.

Still thinking about the possibility of rebellion, but ended up bringing a great general to the Empress…

Me…

It felt lost for a moment, then raised its head again, this should be a great merit, right? Who else but me for the position of Prime Minister?!

The toad was full of spirit.

Su Huanian watched the happy Feng Yaya, smiling gently, then looked at Su He: "After refining the Stone Milk, I need to take Yaya out to morph into a demon. What about you?"

Passing the heavenly tribulation and immediately opening the heavens was too hasty. The Dragon Turtle needed to settle down properly.

Su He thought for a moment, then looked at Green Snake: "Would you like to cohabitate with me for a while?"

Green Snake was taken aback, then astonished, not knowing what to do, she looked at Su Huanian.

But she saw Su Huanian ponder for a moment, and actually seemed quite agreeable: "That's a good idea, indeed necessary."

Green Snake's astonishment turned to stupefaction.

The Spiritual Snake behind Su He condensed, and every time he cultivated, he felt like he was missing half, as if a person only exercised half of their body.

But he had no idea how to cultivate the Spiritual Snake's body. Letting Green Snake stay on him for a while, to observe carefully and attempt to learn, should be greatly beneficial.
