Chapter 43 – Again?

Chapter 2.

The school bell rang as groups of high school students walked out of the school gate, chatting and laughing as they headed towards the exit.

“Ah, so much homework again today. I’ll have to work until past eleven…”

“Yeah, that stupid teacher assigned 12 reading comprehension passages! Does he want us to die?”

“Isn’t reading comprehension just writing whatever?”

“How can you just write whatever?”

“Choose the short ones for the long ones, choose the long ones for the short ones, pick C for the uneven ones, and pick D for the ambiguous ones.”

“…Wait, let me write that down!”

Suddenly, a student turned around and said to Li Yifei, who was at the back of the group, “Li Yifei, why are you so slow? Hurry up!”

Li Yifei snapped out of his thoughts and replied, “Oh, I’m coming.”

He quickened his pace to catch up with the group, but he kept looking around absentmindedly.

“What’s wrong with you? What are you looking for?” Wang Liang asked curiously.

After hesitating for a moment, Li Yifei sighed and said, “After what happened before, I have a shadow when it comes to going home after school… Even though there’s no evening self-study now and it’s still bright outside, I can’t help but feel… scared!”

Wang Liang rolled his eyes. “Isn’t it just encountering a murderer? Why are you exaggerating so much? Li Yifei, you’re big and tall, how can you be so timid?”

“It’s not that… Well, forget it, I can’t explain it to you.” Li Yifei shook his head.

Then, as if he remembered something, he suddenly stopped in his tracks.

“What’s wrong now?”

“I suddenly remembered that I forgot to bring my homework. It’s still in the classroom drawer.” Li Yifei said with a headache.

“You and your forgetful mind, you were already dumb to begin with, and now you’re even worse… Luckily, the school hasn’t closed yet. Go back and get it quickly. I’ll go ahead with them.” Wang Liang said, waving his hand and turning to follow the others.

Li Yifei sighed in place and turned back towards the school.

By the time he reached the school gate, it had been twenty minutes since school ended, and most of the students had already left, leaving the school empty.

“Fortunately, the gate is still open.” Li Yifei muttered to himself and quickly ran into the school.

Compared to usual, the campus in the dusk was quieter and less lively.

Occasionally, students who were cleaning the classrooms would come out and, looking at the time, hurriedly run towards the gate, passing by Li Yifei who was going against the flow.

They were all in a hurry to go home and have a hot dinner.

As Li Yifei walked further, there were fewer and fewer people, and the twilight grew thicker.

The tall trees on both sides of the road rustled in the wind, and the fading sunlight leaked through the gaps in the leaves, becoming darker and scarcer…

Li Yifei hurriedly ran to the front of the second floor of the teaching building and quickly climbed up to the fourth floor, arriving at the entrance of his own classroom.

In the empty corridor, besides the dim twilight, there was only Li Yifei.

At this time, most of the students who were cleaning had already left, and even the classroom doors were locked.

But this didn’t stop Li Yifei. He skillfully opened the window, put down his backpack, and with a push of his hands on the window sill, he flipped inside.

“Homework, homework, homework… Found it!” Li Yifei searched through his desk and pulled out a notebook, his eyes lighting up.

He stuffed the notebook into his bag and went to the window, ready to climb out as usual.

Just then, two figures suddenly appeared at the end of the corridor.

Li Yifei caught a glimpse of them and his body trembled. He quickly squatted down and hid behind the ceramic tiles under the window.

“What a coincidence, we ran into the head teacher?” Li Yifei cursed silently.

The two people who were walking towards Li Yifei were Liu Xiaoyan, the class representative of their class, and their grade’s head teacher.

Sneaking into the classroom through the window after school would easily give people the wrong impression. If caught by the head teacher, there would be no way to explain it, and he would be in big trouble.

So, Li Yifei pressed himself tightly against the wall, planning to wait until the two of them left before leaving.

As they chatted, the two of them approached the classroom where Li Yifei was hiding, and gradually, Li Yifei could clearly hear their conversation.

“…So, you have to pay attention to the Chinese class in your class and choose the best essay to participate in the city’s competition.”

“I understand, Head Teacher. There are many good writers in our class, such as…”

As they walked, the head teacher seemed to be tired and stopped, resting his hands on the railing of the corridor.

Liu Xiaoyan also stopped and continued talking beside the head teacher.

Their position happened to be right at the entrance of the classroom where Li Yifei was hiding!Li Yifei saw this scene through the reflection in the window, rolled his eyes helplessly, and simply sat down on the spot, waiting for the two of them to leave.

“Um, everything you said is good. Call them to my office tomorrow, I’ll talk to them.” The head teacher nodded in satisfaction, turned to Liu Xiaoyan and said, preparing to leave.

“Head teacher!” Liu Xiaoyan suddenly spoke, stopping the head teacher.

The head teacher turned his head, looking at her with confusion, “Do you have anything else, Liu Xiaoyan?”

Under the dusk, a faint blush appeared on Liu Xiaoyan’s face, and she became inexplicably shy.

“Head teacher, actually, actually I… I’ve always wanted to tell you…”

Li Yifei, who was hiding on the side, widened his eyes, almost popping out of his sockets, full of shock!

Holy crap!

I just came back to get my homework, what the hell did I see?!

Liu Xiaoyan actually has feelings for the head teacher?!

But, but the head teacher is almost fifty! And he’s bald!

Does she have such heavy taste?

The head teacher standing in front of Liu Xiaoyan frowned more and more.

“Actually I… I’ve always wanted to…

Want to…

Eat you!”

The last three words came out, Liu Xiaoyan’s mouth opened to an astonishing degree, as if it had been torn apart by someone! Revealing sharp teeth like barbs!

Her pupils had disappeared, leaving only the whites of her eyes, looking extremely creepy! And the dimples on her cheeks were still glowing with a strange wine red under the dusk…

The head teacher’s eyes widened, he subconsciously opened his mouth, wanting to scream!

The next moment, Liu Xiaoyan’s entire head split open from her mouth! The dense sharp teeth emitted a chilling light!

This mouth was too big, big enough to easily fit a whole person!

So, this huge mouth almost instantly swallowed the head teacher, the flesh inside was writhing, twisting, nauseating!

Li Yifei, who had witnessed the whole process, covered his mouth tightly, staring at the window in horror, his whole body trembling!

Liu Xiaoyan chewed for a long time, suddenly, that huge mouth opened again,

And spat out a completely intact head teacher.

Except for some slime on his body, he didn’t even lose a single hair.

He just lay there quietly, while Liu Xiaoyan’s flesh head gradually recovered, returning to the ordinary high school girl in a few seconds.

She stared at the head teacher in front of her, motionless.

A few seconds later, the head teacher on the ground suddenly opened his eyes, and stood up from the ground in a strange posture.

He and Liu Xiaoyan looked at each other,

And both smiled at the same time.

The two of them, in an extremely strange synchronized posture, gradually disappeared at the end of the corridor.

Only when he was sure that the two had really left, did Li Yifei release his mouth, collapsed weakly on the ground, gasping for breath.

In his heart, there were only two words:

“Again?!!!”
