Chapter 44 – The strength pulls the mountains and the spirit covers the world

The Dustless Sea was not located within any major world; it floated in the cosmos, a planet of pure water. The entire planet was an ocean, boundless and without end.

There were no islands in the sea, nor was there a concept of a seabed.

Those with sufficient cultivation could dive from the surface of the sea on one side and emerge from the other—this was the theory, but aside from the Ancestral Being, no one had ever reached the core of the Dustless Sea on their own.

Apart from water, there was nothing else in the Dustless Sea, at least as far as the eye could see.

The Ancestral Being had suppressed the Dustless Sea for countless years, becoming a wonder of the myriad worlds.

Smoothing out the spatial rifts, with thunderous plasma churning beneath him, Qing Lei carried the sealed Feng Yiju towards the Ancestral Being. Previously connected to Su He through a spatial channel, the Ancestral Being’s giant egg now seemed to be right behind Qing Lei. Yet now, the distance between the turtle and the egg was unfathomable.

In fact, from any angle of the myriad worlds, the first thing one would see was the silhouette of the Ancestral Being. When the Ancestral Being transformed into an egg, what one saw was a colossal egg.

“Uncle Ancestral!” Qing Lei spoke softly, and the Dustless Sea suddenly parted, allowing him direct access to its core. Here, the void was devoid of water, but a giant egg floated up and down.

The Ancestral Being had always been at the core of the Dustless Sea.

“Uncle Ancestral! The immortal body,” Qing Lei said solemnly, lying in front of the giant egg.

Beneath his left claw was the unconscious Feng Yiju, while his right claw held a single horn, which bore a striking resemblance to the horn atop Feng Yiju’s spiritual essence.

This was the harvest from the Emperor’s Palace this time.

After a while, a voice came from within the egg: “No matter! The talents of the Yuanzun clan have been studied by many, haven’t they?”

That was about the power of rebirth and immortality—who wouldn’t want it?

“My Dragon Turtle clan disdains such research!” Qing Lei declared proudly.

On the Ancestral Being’s egg, an image of a Dragon Turtle appeared, gazing at Qing Lei with a smile: “Is that so?”

“Of course!” Qing Lei said with pride. “The methods of the Yuanzun clan only increase the number of times one can be revived. Who can force my Dragon Turtle clan to be reborn…”

His voice suddenly lowered as he looked at the Ancestral Being’s egg and whispered, “The revival method used by little Su He in the White Spirit Tomb?”

He had only heard about it from Su He, but the Ancestral Being had seen it with his own eyes through Su He. Naturally, he was even more convinced.

That White Spirit fellow had actually researched the Yuanzun clan behind their backs?

“Uncle Ancestral, why was the Yuanzun clan annihilated by the combined forces of the myriad worlds?” Qing Lei was only three hundred thousand years old, and the extermination of the Yuanzun clan had happened a million years ago, so he knew little.

The Ancestral Being’s projection shook its head: “Unspeakable!” He looked at Qing Lei: “Do you know that in ancient times, there were beings nearly immortal, who would not perish even if heaven and earth did. As long as people chanted their names, recited their titles, and spoke of their deeds, they could condense and be reborn through time? The affairs of the Yuanzun clan have such an effect; as long as people speak of them, the events will recur.”

Some things are not unsaid; they cannot be said!

“Researching rebirth and immortality is unnecessary, but if you see anyone with the characteristics of the Yuanzun clan, slay them!” the Ancestral Being said gravely.

After speaking, his eyes shone brightly as he looked at Qing Lei: “When you have the chance, ask the Little Girl’s mother indirectly how she conceived the Little Girl.”

The reincarnation of a spirit beast into a human was unheard of! Who knows what shocking and outrageous things that White Spirit fellow had done without their knowledge!

Qing Lei sighed. He had been preaching for two months, and in the last month, Su Huanian had woken up. Faced with the reincarnation of the White Spirit beast, how could he not subtly inquire?

Some things were not appropriate for elders to ask directly, but one could always ask if they had seen a white jade Dragon Turtle after becoming pregnant.

Unfortunately, Su Huanian’s pregnancy and childbirth were full of White Spirit characteristics, making it a rare and strange occurrence even among cultivators.

Before the cycle of Jiazi, Su Huanian was pursued and accidentally entered the Seven Extremes Secret Realm. She encountered a thunder Tribulation Crossing and had no choice but to Traverse Heaven within the Seven Extremes Secret Realm.

The Tribulation Crossing of cultivators spanned a long time; it was normal to spend three or four years in the process.

Before the Tribulation Crossing, Su Huanian was not pregnant, and it took three months of healing before she could undergo the Tribulation. However, during the process, her abdomen gradually swelled. With nine layers of thunder Tribulation, each layer caused a month of pregnancy growth.

At first, Su Huanian thought it was just an illusion of the inner demons, but the Seven Extremes Secret Realm sealed off all magic and Divine Abilities. By the seventh layer of the Tribulation, she could no longer endure and passed out.

When she awoke, the nine layers of thunder Tribulation had passed, and it was time for childbirth. She actually gave birth to a baby girl.

Unfortunately, she conceived due to the thunder Tribulation, and the baby girl only had her mother’s origin, being born on the brink of death. Su Huanian held the infant in her arms, wielding a Fairy Sword in one hand, and with her Traverse Heaven cultivation, she fought her way through numerous enemies back to the Qingyuan Sect.

That was also the first time Feng Yiju showed his difference in front of her, miraculously completing the baby girl’s origin.

This was also why, since Jiazi, the Little Girl had been in a coma, her Spiritual Intelligence did not grow, and Su Huanian never doubted Feng Yiju’s origin.

If Feng Yiju did not care, he could have pretended not to know, and the Little Girl would not have survived.

The Little Girl’s life was given by Feng Yiju, her biological father.

The Ancestral Being’s projection shook its head: “When you filled her origin, you must have tampered with it, right? Otherwise, even as her real father, how could you control the Little Girl’s origin to such an extent?”

To reach Traverse Heaven in cultivation and extract one’s child’s origin was not difficult. What was difficult was to do so consistently over a cycle of Jiazi, taking and filling at will, with precise control, without causing the girl to die suddenly.

It could only be that from the beginning, when filling the origin, Little Girl was refined into a great Elixir.

Her Spiritual Intelligence could reach that of a three or four-year-old, all thanks to the strong foundation of the White Spirit beast’s soul. Su Huanian was willing to spare no precious materials and was willing to use her own cultivation daily to help the Little Girl cleanse her marrow and strengthen her foundation.

“Of course!” Qing Lei chuckled: “This is also why Fairy Su tore her own origin. If Feng Yiju had remained silent and not helped, the Little Girl would have died young, and Fairy Su might have been heartbroken for some time. Since he helped and became the Little Girl’s father, he had long calculated to refine his daughter into a great Elixir, having such intentions from the moment he saw the Little Girl, consuming a great Elixir over a cycle of Jiazi…”

Qing Lei shook his head, not wanting to comment further on the matter.

With a flip of his claw, talismans fell onto Feng Yiju. He would first help Su He find the scholar he spoke of, then see what this so-called Evil Suppression Palace was all about.

For some reason, just hearing those four words made him feel connected to the Dragon Turtle.

In the mountain village, the heavy rain had turned into a drizzle, which had the effect of cleansing, purifying, and healing wounds. The villagers gradually woke up, stunned for a moment, before someone suddenly remembered what had happened. Their faces filled with terror: “Turtle… Turtle!”

At his cry of “turtle,” everyone remembered.

Looking around, nothing in the village was lost. The only loss was Aunt Dong’s son, who had happened to go into the mountains today—wait, that’s not right! Since when did Aunt Dong have a son?

Aunt Dong was an old woman in the village, and her son had died ten years ago due to bandit raids!

“You’re saying…” someone whispered, “could it be that a Divine Turtle knew our village was in trouble and pretended to be Aunt Dong’s son in advance, staying in the village. Only today did he go into the mountains to subdue demons.”

As soon as he said this, it resonated with others: “That must be it! Look, the last turtle shadow also rose from Aunt Dong’s house!”

“Think about it, when the Divine Turtle transformed into Aunt Dong’s son, he helped one family fetch water, another chop wood, and even helped us herd cattle and watch the mountains, taking care of a bunch of us old folks…”

The young and strong in the village had almost all died ten years ago, and the village had struggled to survive. Yet, these past two months had been the best they had ever lived.

“Such a good turtle, we should build a temple of longevity for it, right?”

After the event, the villagers, after marveling at the roars and the giant dice, mostly thought about Feng Yiju’s actions in the village over the past two months.

Su He stopped the rain, condensing water into a band to carry Elder Qiao towards Changyue Mansion. This rain was enough to dispel diseases and calamities, allowing the elders to live out their days in peace.

As for the temple of longevity—it didn’t matter, after all, Su He didn’t care.

Flying on the way, the Little Girl had already woken up, kicking her legs on Su He’s back, shaking her head and stretching out of her shell.

Mumbling to herself, she murmured in a daze: “Grandpa Turtle, I still want to eat snow toads! I want the three-thousand-year-old ones, the five-thousand-year-old ones are too hard to digest…”

Su He blinked, snow toads? And even picky about the age?

I want to eat too—I’ve never had them! They never gave me anything delicious!

Thinking this way, he felt quite annoyed.

A mighty Dragon Turtle, and he had never tasted proper delicacies, only refining his body with the Glutton’s method of devouring various smelting materials.

“Eh? Big Turtle… Little Turtle… Turtle Dad! Where’s Grandpa Turtle?” The Little Girl looked around in confusion.

Her tiny dragon head was only slightly larger than an adult’s fist, without even sprouted horns yet, petite and adorable.

Looking around, she saw Elder Qiao unconscious on the water band.

“Is this Grandpa Qiao? What happened to Grandpa Qiao’s hand?”

Su He waved his claw and pulled Elder Qiao underneath him, blocking the Little Girl’s view, but he didn’t know how to explain. In his two lifetimes, this was his first time taking care of a daughter. He didn’t know how to build her psychological resilience.

But the Little Girl was no ordinary girl, born from battles among exotic beasts, accustomed to bloodshed and slaughter. After a moment of silence, she recovered.

She comforted herself softly: “It’s okay, it’s just an arm gone, it doesn’t affect eating.”

Su He: “…”

Finally, the Little Girl’s sleepiness faded, and she fully awoke, patting Su He’s shell: “Turtle Dad, Turtle Dad, I brought you something delicious!”

She laughed joyfully, spitting out a toad that looked like a withered leaf.

“An eight-thousand-year-old snow toad, I coaxed it from Grandpa Turtle, Turtle Dad, this is for you to eat!”

Su He felt greatly comforted, his serpent tail patting the Little Girl’s shell: “Good girl! Swallow it quickly, your mother is seriously injured and needs a big tonic. Later, spit it out for her to eat.”

“Mother is injured again?” The Little Girl’s voice immediately became somber. Mother is too weak, always getting hurt, always getting hurt!

But, she didn’t want to swallow it again, spitting it out and swallowing it back was too disgusting.

As the two turtles talked, time flew by quickly, and in the blink of an eye, they arrived at Changyue Mansion. Diving in, they saw Su Huanian floating in mid-air, with a Fairy Sword under her feet, operating the power of the Cave Mansion to suppress the strange land.

Seeing Su He come in, her eyes brightened, and seeing the Little Girl coiled by the serpent, she smiled even more.

“Mother!” The Little Girl called out, pushing off Su He’s back with her four paws, and with a roar from the thunder pool beneath her, she turned into a blue light and rushed towards Su Huanian. As she approached, she transformed back into human form and burrowed into Su Huanian’s embrace, snuggling vigorously.

Su He’s breath tightened.

“Stop fussing!” Su Huanian patted the Little Girl’s back twice and lifted her out.

The Little Girl’s cheeks were rosy, and she seemed to have shrunk a bit. She used to look about three or four years old, but now she was the size of a standard three-year-old, or even younger.

But her aura was stable, no longer in danger of losing her origin.

“Elder Qiao has been saved?” Su Huanian asked Su He softly.

Su He pulled out the water band, and Su Huanian was prepared, flicking an elixir into Elder Qiao’s mouth.

“He’s injured at the core, and I’m afraid his cultivation will be hard to recover,” Su Huanian said, having become a skilled healer after a long illness. With just one glance, she had a clear understanding of Elder Qiao’s injuries.

Although severely injured, his life was no longer in danger.

“The scholar is not here; Feng Yiju has been handed over to Uncle Lei for interrogation,” Su He said.

“Thank you,” Su Huanian said softly.

Su He smiled: “Why are you thanking me? Besides, the scholar is an enemy, and Elder Qiao is a benefactor; I would have saved him anyway.”

“Good!” Su Huanian replied, but she didn’t know what she was affirming.

“Let’s first remove the strange land and restore the Cave Mansion!” With Feng Yiju captured, there was no longer a need for the strange land.

Su He let out a long howl to the sky, instantly expanding his domain to its maximum, occupying most of the Cave Mansion.

The Dragon Turtle had its unique way of refining, and refining the Cave Mansion was most convenient through domain infiltration. Coupled with the Barbarian King’s World Refining Technique, the effect far exceeded Su Huanian’s refinement with just a jade pendant.

With Su He’s participation, the power of the Cave Mansion completely suppressed the strange land.

The Little Girl tugged at Su Huanian’s clothes: “Mother, Turtle Dad said you’re seriously injured again.”

Su Huanian’s smile never faded, sweeping away her usual cold demeanor, and she gently shook her head: “Mother is fine, almost fully recovered!”

“You’re lying to me again!” The Little Girl pouted: “But I have something good for Mother, it will definitely make Mother recover quickly.”

As she spoke, she mysteriously pulled out a red gourd from her storage pouch, shaking it to reveal half a bottle of liquid, sloshing around.

“A treasure! I got it from Grandpa Lei.”

Su He felt even more pleased. Such a Little Girl, how could he not love her? Even when she went out to beg, she knew to bring back treasures for her parents.

Feeling greatly comforted, he had the feeling of a daughter growing up.

Then he saw the Little Girl pulling on her mother’s clothes and sitting on the ground: “Mother, Mother, let me show you how to use it!”

She ran to a large tree thick enough to be embraced, hugged it with both hands, and pulled it up, roots and all. With a few flicks of her fingers, she removed all the roots of the tree.

Then she turned back to Su Huanian, raised her head in a show-off manner: “Mother, just watch!”

She inserted the tree back into the ground, opened the red gourd, and a drop of emerald liquid fell beneath the tree. Before their eyes, the severely damaged tree instantly extended its roots, growing rapidly to forty or fifty feet tall, with lush branches and leaves, covering a swath of the sky!Wisps of spiritual energy were exuding from the tree.

Giggling mysteriously, she said, “Look, what a treasure!”

Laughing, she leaped up and threw a punch at the ground: “Mother, lie down quickly, I’ll drop a bit of the green water for you. Do you find the soil too damp? Would you like a box instead?”

Su Huanian was stunned.

As she spoke, her fist smashed into the earth.

In an instant, the ground cracked, the heavens seemed to collapse, and the entire earth trembled. A fissure split open, revealing a stone gate adorned with carvings.

On either side of the gate stood two stone sculptures, with the Orient Loong God on the left and the White Tiger on the right, Basalt graced the lintel, and Rosefinch underfoot. Outside the gate, there was a stone stele inscribed with two characters that no one recognized, but a single glance was enough to understand their meaning: “Suppress Evil”!

For a moment, she was dumbfounded, looking back and forth between the Suppress Evil Palace and her little fist. She couldn’t fathom how a single punch could reveal an underground palace.

Dragon Turtle, are you that formidable?

Her eyes sparkled brightly as she turned her gaze back to the ground beside her.
