The Yellow Crystal Earth Dragon swallowed voraciously, its languid spirit becoming excited.
It was as if a ball of flame had ignited within its belly.
A new strength was burgeoning inside it; its life force no longer waned, and the clusters of yellow crystals that covered its body began to take on strands of red.
“Accept this gift and continue to fight for me.”
After a pause, Saga’s face took on a majestic sternness, and he said in a deep voice, “Until the very end of your life.”
Having given enough dragon blood for the transformation of the Dragon Vein, Saga controlled the muscles and blood vessels in his wrist to contract, naturally stopping the flow of dragon blood, then quietly watched the transformation of the Yellow Crystal Earth Dragon.
Whoosh!
Flames erupted across the body of the Yellow Crystal Earth Dragon.
It seemed to be enduring immense pain.
Unable to help itself, the Yellow Crystal Earth Dragon let out a series of low roars, but within the agony, there was also a hint of excitement and exhilaration.
Hiss, hiss, hiss. It clawed at the ground, burrowing into it.
Due to the high temperature of the flames, the soil and rocks on the ground continuously melted, turning into a lava-like substance, and the Yellow Crystal Earth Dragon was at the bottom of this pool of lava.
The transformation of the Dragon Vein was a long and torturous process.
Eight or nine out of ten creatures would die during the transformation, not all could withstand the domineering radiation of dragon blood, but once they survived the transformation, they would become a more powerful Dragon Vein creature than before.
As a Subdragon, the Yellow Crystal Earth Dragon had a stronger capacity to endure dragon blood.
Having been enslaved by a Mind Warlock, it also had a higher tolerance for pain.
Even with severe injuries, it was able to respond to Saga’s call and forcibly stood up.
Saga believed that it had a high chance of surviving the Dragon Vein transformation.
“However,” the little Golden Dragon looked down at the ground that had turned into a pool of lava and muttered, “It seems unable to transform any Power Essence-related skills, not even the most basic and rudimentary ones.”
Dragon Vein creatures formed through transformation often inherit the corresponding attributes and a degraded version of the skills of the one who bestowed the dragon blood. For example, the Dragon Vein kin of a Blue Dragon can wield a certain degree of storm and thunder.
The kin of a Red Dragon or Golden Dragon are related to flames.
Both Red Dragons and Golden Dragons are fire-type True Dragons.
Feeling the anomaly of the Yellow Crystal Earth Dragon, Saga only sensed powers related to flames, with no changes in the Force Field whatsoever.
“It seems that the Dragon Vein transformation cannot grant the target abilities similar to mine.”
“In that case, I wonder if my offspring will be able to inherit them, and if so, whether they will inherit all or just some of the effects?”
Saga did not ponder deeply.
This question would be answered by the future.
The transformation of the Yellow Crystal Earth Dragon would take some time, and Saga did not stay there throughout.
Whoosh, whoosh.
A breeze came, and Guli Tia flapped her dragon wings and approached.
She curiously looked at the pool of lava and said, “Flames? The Yellow Crystal Earth Dragon is an earth-attribute Subdragon, but after receiving your blood, it seems to be developing a second fire attribute.”
“So you were originally a fire-type True Dragon.”
Then turning to look at Saga, Guli Tia’s face showed confusion.
In her previous interactions with Saga, he had not used any fire powers.
“What kind of Dragon Kind are you? I’ve never seen a dragon like you.”
Guli Tia suddenly felt that this little young dragon’s form might be the true form of this legendary ancient dragon in its youth, not a disguise deliberately transformed, so she asked.
Saga countered.
“What do you think?”
After careful consideration, Guli Tia said with some difficulty, “Red Dragon? Your style of doing things is a bit… similar to that of the Red Dragon kind, but you look too different from a Red Dragon, with this golden diamond-like scale armor… Could it be…”
Her eyes flickered with realization.
“I understand now, you are a mixed-blood Outsider of a Golden Dragon and a Gemstone Dragon!”
If different Dragon Kinds interbreed.
The offspring often inherit the bloodline of one of the parents, such as a Red Dragon and a Golden Dragon mating, the highest probability is actually that the offspring will be a Red Dragon or a Golden Dragon.
Then there’s a small chance.
The mixed bloodlines of two different parents, similar to both, inheriting the advantages of both sides.
This situation can also be called an Outsider.
Guli Tia believed that Saga was a mixed-blood Outsider of a Golden Dragon and a Gemstone Dragon.
Mixed-blood Outsiders generally do not have an official Dragon Kind name because they are difficult to pass down; the next generation of mixed-blood Outsiders is likely to only show one type of bloodline, with only a very small chance of inheriting the mixed blood.
“You can think of it that way.”
Saga did not correct her thoughts.
Her idea was very close, but Guli Tia could not imagine that a Red Dragon could actually mate with a Golden Dragon, a probability far lower than the birth of offspring between a Metal Dragon and a Gemstone Dragon.
Nighttime.
First Quarter Island
In an environment area that was scarred from the day’s great battle, a feast was being held around the Gemstone Peak.
A huge bonfire, about five meters in diameter, was set up in the center.
The night sky was covered with clouds that obscured the moonlight and starlight, but the environment, which should have been dim, was brightly lit by the bonfire. Maple tree trunks, stripped of their bark and cut into many pieces, served as firewood, crackling in the fire. A slight night breeze carried away some tiny sparks, adorning the night sky.
Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle.
The sound of oil sputtering was incessant.
This largest bonfire was also a giant barbecue grill.
On both sides, tree trunks sharpened at the bottom served as supports, and several bone spears pierced through huge pig legs, continuously roasting over the fire.
The shark-tigers had already smeared the pig legs with special spices, and as they roasted over the flames, a rich and mellow aroma of meat mixed with the scent of spices formed a unique and enticing smell that gradually spread, attracting many wild beasts and Magical Creatures from First Quarter Island.
Beyond the reach of the flames, many pairs of eyes hid in the night, twinkling faintly.
They longed for food but dared not rush over.
They were not afraid of the flames.
What really made them only dare to drool from the periphery was the golden dragon shadow squatting in front of the bonfire.
The dragon’s majesty made all beasts stop in their tracks, only daring to watch from afar.
Whoosh!
Saga breathed out a flame, making the bonfire burn even more vigorously.
Sniffing his nose and smelling the enticing scent of meat, Saga rubbed his claws together, already somewhat impatient.
He lifted his chin and looked around.
Around the large bonfire, like stars surrounding the moon, were scattered dozens of smaller bonfires, each with its own barbecue. The Bloodtooth clan’s shark-tigers gathered here, enjoying this rare feast.
In addition to the roasted Tremorboar meat.
There were also Saga’s favorite Flower Wool Sheep, shrimp, crabs, and fish caught from the sea, and some giant umbrella mushrooms over one meter in diameter.
To the left of Saga, a medium-sized bonfire held a large stone pot, in which a milky white fish soup bubbled and boiled, rich in aroma and appetizing.
Tig just happened to walk by the stone pot.
He held some Demon peppers, needle thorns, and colorful fruits, among other things that could make the fish soup even more delicious, and poured them into it.
The aroma of the fish soup quickly became even more tempting.
Combined with the pervasive scent of roasted meat, the air here seemed to have turned into a delicacy.
To the right of Saga, there were barrels of unknown fruit wine seized from the Thin Tail clan.
Gradually, the food was ready to eat.
The rich aroma of meat reached its peak.
Saga waved his dragon claw and declared, “My kin who follow me, join me in enjoying this meal!”
“Tonight, you can let yourselves go.”
Awakening his spirit power, stepping into the fourth tier, and dealing with the Tremorboar, taking over Gemstone Peak.
These events accumulated together, putting Saga in a very good mood. Just right, the Tremorboar was so large that Saga couldn’t finish it all at once, so he gathered the shark-tigers from Waxing Crescent Island here for this night’s banquet.
Amidst the crackling sound of burning wood.
The shark-tigers cheered and leaped for joy.
“Thank you, my lord, for your grace.”
They replied in increasingly fluent Dragon Tongue.
Gurgle.
Gurgle, gurgle.
A deep and rhythmic sound came.
Several shark-tigers raised their heads, with water swirling in their mouths, producing a musical beat like a melody, a special music of the shark-tiger tribe.
Under the night sky, as a gust of wind blew away the clouds, little stars peeked out.
Time flowed away like water.
Accompanied by the music.
The shark-tigers surrounded their respective small bonfires, and in between enjoying the food, they began to dance with abandon.
Sometimes they waved their tiger paws and beat their chests, sometimes they dived into the ground and chased each other in circles with their dorsal fins exposed, sometimes they swayed left and right with strange steps, and sometimes they stood still with their shark teeth clashing. All the movements combined to form a somewhat strange but dynamic dance that showcased strength.
In the sky, two White Feather Gryphons held the same piece of pig intestine in their mouths, circling around it.
The Blue Dragon Guli Tia lay on the ground, gnawing at the big head of the Tremorboar with a rough appetite.
Saga picked up a roasted pig leg from the bonfire.
Rip!
With one bite, the tough and elastic chunk of roasted meat entered his mouth, and eating it felt like there was a flame burning inside, as if a warm breath flowed into his limbs, making Saga feel quite comfortable.
This high-quality food, Saga had not eaten for a long time since leaving the protection of The Red Dragoness.
On Thorn Isle, almost every week The Red Dragoness would catch some high-level Magical Creatures as food for the Hatchling Dragon.
Saga’s eyes brightened, and he feasted heartily, eating several big bites, then directly lifted the stone pot like a big bowl, brought it close, and gulped it down.
The fish soup was fresh and smooth, with a different flavor from the roasted meat.
A bite of roasted meat.
A sip of fish soup.
Occasionally eating some shrimp, crab, mushrooms, and drinking some sweet fruit wine.
Awooo!
Saga ate a Flower Wool Sheep raw that had been brought here.
Burp~
Satisfied with eating and drinking, he let out a burp like thunder.
The dancing shark-tigers paused in their movements.
The atmosphere quieted down slightly.
Saga propped himself up on the ground with one dragon claw, his belly half-exposed to the sky, and casually waved the other claw.
“Continue the music, continue the dance.”
